So it seems like they are going ...
    Spoiler:
..back to Earth for good then ...Hopefully they won't get lost again ...because would be nice to see them on Earth from time to time ..I was actually wondering if we were gonna see them only at the city ..and call it Home ..but I'm glad Earth will be home and Atlantis the working place ...hopefully weir /Sheppard will slowly get closer but I don't trust TPTb for that ..

      I have also heard that:

      Spoiler:
Sheppard and Teyla have "issues" with each other in this episode.

Are you talking about "A Letter from Pegasus"? 'Cause
        Spoiler:
they don't go back to Earth in that episode. They have just enough power to send a message through the Stargate to Earth, but not a person. So they put together mission reports, information on Atlantis and personal messages from everyone. Weir talks to the families of those who lost their lives and finally, she has a message for Simon, telling him not to put his life on hold for her.

In a world that seems to be increasing in conformity
it's harder and harder to be who you wanna be
It takes a lot of courage to stand up and get what you need
And lots of us are happy in a different kind of family

okay, i'm only half way through Hot Zone, and
          Spoiler:
          it already seems incredibly shippy!

the really intense look john gets on his face when he first hears elizabeth over the tannoy

the way he insists on leaving, and putting himself in danger when he knows elizabeths in danger ('i can't risk you getting infected' 'he's heading your way')

the way he calls her elizabeth to teyla, and explians how elizabeth thinks, showing how much he knows her

and calling her elizabeth to her face, at last!

and..this is partially irrelevant..but it is just me, or is McKay really sexy in this? all angst ridden and in charge and so-on. still not as sexy as the gorgeous Beckett, but still...a little bit of a thunk there

            Spoilers for "Hot Zone":
            Spoiler:
You've forgotten the "he's not getting sex for a month" look on Grodin's face after one of the Sheppard/Weir exchanges.

And yeah, this episode is sooooo shippy.

As for Rodney, there's one scene in the episode that was just so moving. He really does want to be a hero.

And because I'm a continuity freak, yay for bringing up the gene therapy again!

              More hot zone spoilers

              Spoiler:

he looked so sheepish when Elizabeth was yelling at him. and i loved it at the end, when he pointed out the reason he disobeyed orders was to save her. and then he said he trusted her and obviusly wanted t say more, but couldn't, cos rodney and carson turned up. he was obviously frustrated and annoyed when they interruppted..wonder what he wanted to say?

Good question. Spoilers for "Hot Zone" and "Letters from Pegasus":
                Spoiler:
Definitely got the vibe in "Letters" that they did finish their talk about the chain of command. She made it very, very clear to him that he was not to get into action if he could avoid it, and all through the episode he was pissing off Teyla by following Elizabeth's orders.

Meanwhile, it seems that John may not have any family left, from an off-hand comment.

And finally, Elizabeth's goodbye to Simon:

"Not a day goes by that I don't think of you, Simon. There's so much I want to tell you and share with you, but I can't. I know this is unfair, so much you don't know, and putting your life on hold for me. So don't. All I ask is that you take care of yourself, and know that wherever you are, my heart is looking after you. Goodbye, Simon."

                  Ooh, Hot Zone was good.

                  Spoiler:
He called her Elizabeth and she called him John, both in the same episode
                  Spoiler:

I really wish Rodney & Beckett hadn't interupted when they did - that would have been a great conversation to see... ah well, another time hopefully....
Liked Teyla's line "she is not the only one who suffers from that affliction."
It was a fantastic ep for Rodney.
And Ford had real lines!! Yes, I want to see more of him...

                    so basically she's
                    Spoiler:
letting him go? maybe cos she's found another, real, truer love? 'my heart is looking after you'..hardly 'i will alwys love you' is it? sounds more like she's talking to a close friend rather then a lover

                    but that's just my interpretation

                      "Letters from Pegasus"
                      Spoiler:
Honestly, I'm surprised they dealt with Simon at all, since it was pretty obvious from the beginning that he wasn't going to last. I was surprised that they underlined her ending it like that, especially since it was placed on par with John's message to Colonel Sumner's family. So I'm quite curious to know where this is going and why they emphasized it so.

This was the best scene of the ep if you ask me! It's these little nuances from the supporting cast that really make this show for me.

                              And did I mention McKay?
