Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcome!

I came to SGA by way of Enterprise. I'm a HUGE Connor Trinneer fan and have been watching the Michael episodes. (If anyone here visits Trinneer/Trip Tucker fan sites, you'd know me as "tripsmyguy" hence, TMG.)

Upon watching "Michael" the first time, I decided Carson Beckett was the only SGA character I really liked. Paul is adorable and I LOVE the Scottish accent! I've heard lovely things about Paul from people who have met him at cons. I hope to meet him someday when he's at the same convention as Connor! (I've been to two so far.)

I watched "Sunday". (I'm starting to think if I like a character, he's doomed.) I'll have to look for the other good Beckett epi's in reruns. I'll rent the DVD's if my video place has them.

Can't wait for June 15th!!!!! The epi. "Vengeance" is listed in the latest TV Guide - the one with The Sopranos on the cover.

      Hi to everyone here,

I haven't posted in this thread yet, I just lurked in the shadows and read...

I just wanted to say that the ones of us who go to FedCon will bring tons of pictures back with us, so don't worry...
I can't promise videos, but I could try... although my camera isn't very good at it.
Tomorrow at this time we are already there... oh my god...

Just a quick note before I head off to FedCon to see Paul McGillion… ,

I didn’t want to leave you hanging in the air for too long; therefore I just posted the 13th chapter of ‘Surviving Sunday’.

I’ll soon be regailing you with the most touching con stories; but in the meantime, have a nice weekend yourselves! *hugs*

Now there's a fic I'm going to have to read!

Enjoy your trip, twinchaosblade, and the same goes out to all attendees! Be sure to take lots of pics for those not as fortunate as you...

You're pictures are wonderful as well. I have to intentionally repost this beauty. Lucky Kate!

I liked that aspect of things. I like the fact that not everything is black and white with SGA. They present a lot of gray areas. It's not clearly a is right and b is wrong. The retrovirus arc really brought out that aspect of the show.

Paul & Connor at the same convention? I'd be there in less than a heartbeat. That'd be great.

And, because I think I forgot to welcome you earlier, welcome to the gutter!

Yay! More of the story. Gonna have to dash off to read it.

Have a wondrously spledifourous time at the convention!

OT: I was reminded of the Save Carson campaign when I heard the news about the Jericho fans getting their show back for at least 7 more episodes. The fans do have some power.

The thread was rather quiet yesterday. I was going to come on and make a little noise but my Internet wasn't working, so I will do it now *claps hands and screams loudly*. Can't have you logging back in to a quiet thread again.
That is some lovely arm porn, I’m hopefully going to liven the thread up with a few of my favourites

1st up its...OMG the name has escaped me, but its the show in a dog's breakfast. Oh I think its Starcrossed. (Sorry if I’m wrong)

Next... some one's all lit up

I would put a few more on but I tried a minute ago and it made my PC freeze so I think I will leave at two for now. I don't want to write this up a second time, not that the thread isn't worth it.
I’m looking forward to the return of the con goers can't wait to hear their stories.

I know the feeling, TMG. In literally *every* show I've watched for the last decade they sooner or later killed my fav character. I swear, it's driving me crazy! I hate them for doing this! I want my favs to stay alive for crying out loud. Why can't they come up with touching and wonderful stories without chopping a nice guy's head off?! Where the hell are the times they didn't feel the need to 'shake things up' by dismissing a beloved character of the main cast?! Why should I watch a show for years on end if the characters I want to see in it change continually? grrrrrr

Nice explanation for your name, BTW.

                      Well, the con...
There were so many wonderful aspects of it (and meeting PM definitely not the least!), I heard some *extremely* good lectures about linguistics in SciFi (I'm studying linguistics, so forgive me that comment), and the actors were really fantastic, especially Paul McGillion was simply adorable, and Kate Mulgrew was terrific as well; from a personal point of view, all this and meeting some real wonderful people there, made the con really rewarding and worth it; but on the other hand though, it was *very* disappointing on so many levels that I'm not yet decided which feeling will win over at last in retrospect.

I promise to hurry with the pics and the con report; no doubt there a quite some stories to share, even without ranting or regret.

Just as a teaser: PM told the audience what scene was planned for him and David Hewlett in "Tao of Rodney" that was unfortunately never shot.

Yay!! Glad to see you back from the con! The linguistics is neat. Actually, it's something I'd be interesting in too had I been a con goer.

PM & KM ... Two my very favourites. Can't wait to hear more about what happened.

And you're soooo bad, teasing those of us who didn't get to go with the little bit about "ToR." How cruel! hehe. Excited to hear all about it.

Through assorted means, I've now been able to watch up to and including "Sunday." I'm with those of you who are saddened to see what happened to Beckett. I just cannot understand the rationale behind killing off Beckett: it's shameful. I've already written one letter through savecarsonbeckett.com. Now, I'm going to write again to say that, while I'm pleased that the character will be appearing in S4, I won't be satisfied as a viewer/potential purchaser of DVDs until Beckett's back as Head of Atlantis Medical.

Can't wait to hear more about the con, twinchaosblade, the good, bad, and ugly!
