I think I've finally caught up with my sleep. Here's the start of my DragonCon Report.

I started out Thursday morning for DragonCon. As I was about to call for a cab at 8am, my phone rang. My 11:45am flight had been cancelled due to mechanical problems and I was rebooked on a 5pm flight. The 5pm flight was delayed because of bad weather in Atlanta. We were loaded on the plane at 5:30 and sat at the gate for an hour. Then another plane had to use the gate because it was the only one for that size plane so we taxied out to the runway. then we waited on the runway for an hour. We didn't take off until 7:45pm. I finally got to the hotel at 11pm.

The point of leaving Thursday was to pick up my con badge before the con. Pre-reg closed at 10:30pm. Sigh.

After checking in, I was standing in the tiny Marriott lobby (the hotel was being renovated) looking for a bell captain to take my bags to my room. Actually there were 4 groups of people ahead of me but I was looking anyway. As I searched in vain, who should I see walking thru the hotel towards the front door but Aaron Douglas and Paul McGillion. Paul spots me and veers off towards me. Aaron and their escort keep going. Paul greets me and we start talking about our flights. I asked if the movie on his flight was "The Flying Scotsman" because that's the movie I had on my flight. He said he did. "Was there anyone Scottish in that movie?" he asked. "Yeah, Billy Boyd was in it."

One of my con roommates had also spotted me at the same time Paul did and he joined us. Sadly, I don't remember what we talked about, we were just chit-chating. Paul then notices that Aaron isn't with us,. "He kept walking, Paul." Paul tried calling Aaron on his cell but Aaron doesn't pick up. He continues to talk to us and try to get Aaron, who is probably ignoring his cell.

While we were talking, Gordon Michael Woolvett saw us and came over. Gordon was Harper in Andromeda with Kevin Sorbo. Gordon greeted Paul with a Scottish accent. The two of them talked a bit, catching up. Then Gordon looks over, puts out his hand and says "Hi, I'm Gordon." Ha, like I didn't know who he was! Paul and Gordon talk a bit more and then takes off. After he left, Paul said he went to University with Gordon's older brother, Jaimz.

Aaron finally picks up and says where he is. Paul says his goodbyes and off he went.

Sigh. the highlight of the con and the con hadn't even started yet!

How come everyone but me noticed the cowboy boots? That was the LAST thing I checked on him and I only did it, because Phibi mentioned it. How can you guys look at his boots, when there's loads of other interesting stuff there.

Okay, I admit I didn't really notice the boots until phibi mentioned it as well. I'm sure I would have seen it sooner or later, but yeah, phibi did kinda point it out to everybody!!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been posting pictures and links to the events from Dragon Con. I was there and at the Monday panel where Paul McGillion auctioned off items (and kisses) for charity.

Unfortunately, my camera was being difficult at the time so I only came away with two blurred pictures of him on it from the panel. So I'm very glad to get to see other photos.

Dissapointed with S4 so far? How can you be, you havne't seen it yet..Have you? Or are you talking about, that you're disappointed because of the way, you have a feeling it's going to be?
I almost confused myself with that sentence lol.

well, I've seen so many pics of him, the "once over" a pic changes after a time.. at least mine does... so I look for something unique in a pic.. and well... the shoes sort of spiked out *lol*

Man, Caz wasn't kidding about the Carson-sized hole in "Adrift". I'm kind of depressed again, but I have to admit that it was pretty exciting, despite the relative lack of anything significantly interesting in regards to Carter's introduction. I'm really hyped up about Carson's return now, though. I wanna know if the Asurans really did have anything to do with it already!
