I think it's time we all to see the truth:

- The Wraith are intelligent creatures. With sence of humour.

- They have honor and in most of the cases they keep their word.

- Their origin is human.

- Yes, they feed upon humans but did they have any choice to survive?

- They deserve to live.

I know that most of the members here are fans of killing the Wraith but people think about it - don't we eat cows??? Are we monsters?

I know this is out of place but, has anyone seen the new Star Trek movie? It looks like it's worth seeing by all the trailers that have been shown.

Just saw it tonight, and it was fantastic!

There is one thing that diehard fans may not like - a 'tweak' to the continuity. However, it did NOT bother me one bit, and the entire movie was just one great rollercoaster ride. Several LOL parts, lots of action, nice nods to the original show...just really good stuff. I saw Wolverine last weekend and loved that, but I must admit to probably loving Star Trek a little bit more...perhaps because it renewed my love for the original show, and for the franchise as a whole. Just a great ride!

It was a good movie, too. It's really hard for me to say which I liked more, but I had to go with Star Trek just because it brought back memories of my youth. Also, the bad guys were mighty fine-looking!

Yes, they were. Eric Bana as a Romulan was quite nice.

I really don't think monster are supposed to be this attractive, they just blooped! Looking at all the weird monster / alien creatures that have been created for television/movies - the wraith aren't high on the ugly scale. Even Klingons in ST aren't all that ugly just different, and some can be handsome in their own way. But monster creatures to me is the creature in Alien, that creature creeped me out, yuk. Only ever watched it once and couldn't again. Wraith are butterflies compared to that.

Michael's bipedal bug-critters definately evoked Alien for me (though without the whole horror-movie, parasitic thing)--faced Wraith are beautiful to me. I think some of us just like the exotic--pointy teeth and viper pits, for example. Some people can't see past the difference, and just read "different=ugly." Different strokes...
