Looking forward to the other 8 episodes.
Was just about to post the same thing

Have watched the first seven episodes so far, bit heavy on the old gay sex, I guess that's a lot to do with one of the directors having a sex change op and expressing their pride, more than it adding to the story itself - the story could be told without it since the only relevance is one of the couples met at the pride march.

Although I had to laugh a lot at how the Mexican actor reacted to the Korean's monthly, that was something that added to the story.

Having said that, I like it, real good adult SciFi, first time since the first series of Torchwood that soft porn and SciFi have been mixed together (that I've watched anyway) and worked, more than just having sideways shots of bare bums on screen to get viewers in.

Finished it Now, wow I really enjoyed the first season, yes there were a lot of sex scenes, and yes it was very much a gay pride thing, but when you get past all that and look at the storyline for what it is its quite enjoyable

      Spoiler:
For those of you who watched all of it, was I the only one that got an Uncharted vibe towards the end? the way Capheus was shooting thugs driving down the street, like how Nathan Drake would

And then again when Wolfgang was shooting up the mob, I picked up a Nathan Drake kind of vibe from him aswell

Hope we get a 2nd season

I've got two episodes left to watch so I won't be clicking that spoiler just yet, but boy oh boy I see what baron of hell means about episode 10, good job I've been in that position already.

This is certainly what I'd call riske TV but it's great, the pride stuff doesn't really bother me (because of a previous job) but I can imagine there being a whole generation (especially mine and up) going ewwwww if they stumbled across it by mistake (and it is possible since here we can get Netflix as part of our cable TV package).

It's definitely a series that could never air in a prime network or even at cable. Thank you Netflix!

It's a slow starter. In the 1st 4 episodes and things are just starting to happen, so you need to stick around and watch at least that far to get a sense of things, because a lot of stuff just doesn't make sense until connections are made between events & people.

So far I like it. It's a little more adult than you'd find on cable or the networks, which is fine with me.

LOL isn't that the truth (actually it probably could, with some good editing).

Finally watched the last two, now I hope there's a second series to deal with the aftermath.

So cause one of the writers had a sex change op, he is almost using the show to push a 'lgbt pride' message?

I think people are obsessing way too much over the LGBT positive message, the show is about people from all different walks of life which in this show includes one gay man and one trans woman. Lets not forget the show also has a woman in India who is devoted to her Hindu faith or a man struggling to get medication for his sick mother in Africa or Sun in south Korea struggling to deal with her second class status in her country and her family. The show is proud of it's diversity and doesn't hold back one iota.

The best written female character on trek ever.

Thank you! Honestly, people are so focused on the fact that there are multiple LGBT+ characters, both primary and secondary, but fail to realise it's about people from all across the world. People might not like that we exist but we do. This is a show about a group of people who are inexplicably psychically linked, how did they not think that sexuality might not be a part of that? This show explores religion, gender, sexuality, social structures - but the one thing people get hung up on is the fact that LGBT+ people are on screen?

When it comes to the sex scenes I can accept that some people may find them to be a bit much as they can be very intense. But let's be honest, in the media there are way more straight relationships and sex scenes, so a few sex scenes that aren't tailored for a straight audience and are totally skip-able shouldn't kill the show for anybody. I get so annoyed with the comments that the showrunners are forcing an 'agenda' and that the LGBT+ characters and situations don't 'add' anything to the plot. And the straight relationships/situations do? LGBT+ people exist - period. We're not here to add to anybody else's story as we already have our own to deal with. The only 'agenda' we have is the desire to live our lives happy and healthy without being discriminated, persecuted and killed simply for having the audacity to exist.

                      /end rant.

                      Spoiler:
But yeah, I loved the show. I thought the way it explored various themes by having separate stories across the world but having the characters still interact was fascinating. The locations were amazing and the show really benefited from shooting in the actual locations. I'm so ready for Season 2, and I hope they add a bit more meat to some character's story's, namely Kala's, and have the characters interact a bit more. I want to see Kala's pharmacist work somehow interlink with Whisper's evil medical corporation, for Nomi to help someone else out with some intense hacking against the clock, and for Riley to come into her own and be a bit player in the Sensate squad. With Will seemingly out of the picture the cluster will have one less person to help them so I'm really looking forward to seeing where that goes!

Glad im not on my own at being disappointed with talk of an "agenda", the sex scenes i can understand are probably difficult for a prudish person(no insult meant there). After watching shows like game of thrones though i still think Sense8's sex is less violent and graphic so i wasn't all that shocked by it, only the scene in ep6 was a bit out there.
