I just watched Haunted today, it was a beautiful episode and I was sooo happy to see John =D
But the end is so sad =( I thought he was back to normal finally...
And when he said to Helen that he loved her I cried T_T

I love those they are wonderful. i love the one where John and Helen are sitting next to each other.

John stood in the shadows watching Helen, always he watched her. She was walking with Watson, laughing and smiling. He was supposed to be away, but he couldn't stay away from Helen. Things between them had been rocky lately, but he knew that the would soon be on the mend. A year out of Oxford and they were still together. John loved this woman, yet, he hadn't told her. Maybe that was what made things so rocky for them. His mind made up John stepped out of the shadows and lengthened his stride to catch up with his best friend and his lover.

Helen knew John was watching her; she could feel him near, but she was enjoying the company of James much too much to pay any attention to him. She had sensed something off about him, like he wasn't telling her something. Normally she was a patient woman, but John had been keeping something from her for a good month and she was getting tired of it. When James had asked her out for a day she knew that she couldn't say no. So here she was with her friend and thinking about John. always John was on her mind like a fever.

"Helen?"

She turned and a bright smile graced her face, "John, I thought..."

"I love you so much," John stepped close and cupped her cheeks. He knew that touching her, holding her like this in public was a breech of etiquette, but he didn't care. John loved Helen and he needed to tell her.

"John, I... love you," Helen felt her heart skip and her breath hitch. This was the power John had over her. Reaching out she placed her hand over his heart and for a moment she swore she could feel it beating through the thick layers of his clothing.

"Well John, old boy, care to join us?" Watson spoke and he knew that he broke the spell that was cast around them. But they were starting to draw attention. His residence wasn't that far and he knew that he could get them there with relative ease.

"Sorry, yes of course." John looked at Watson and offered his arm to Helen who switched from James to his. Together the three friends set off in polite conversation and laughter.

I wrote a little John and Helen one shot. This is my idea of when John tells helen he loves her.

I've had this song for years, but I just listened to it after watching haunted and suddenly I saw it as a Helen/John song... Angst ridden of course

Its a really slow song, but it seems to fit so perfectly with everything they've been through, espically after Haunted.
