He is definately a lot like Daniel Jackson, but when i was watching i also realized there is a striking resemblance to Wesley Windham Price from Angel... I don't know if anyone else agreed, Will definately is like those two.

hey, you know, there could be a whole 'closet society' of those that support the abbys, odd sized clothes, or clothing meant to accomodate wings or the like. the 'odd' food some might need, little things like that

ITA ! Most of them would either find it impossible to shop normally without either other "normals" freaking out at the sight of them, or they just wouldn't be able to get the right nutritional requirements to suit them.

I know that Ashley ,Helen,Henry and Will could do a lot of shopping for Bigfoot and the others ,but it would be a pain for them ,attract attention even if the residents weren't present in the stores to attend fittings,and cut into their investigations .

Thought : How many staff would be needed to run the Sanctuary anyway ? Surely they need cleaners,maintenance staff,electricians and others to fill ancillary jobs ?

I enjoyed the premier of Sanctuary, but to me it seemed that Will was a bit like Daniel Jackson. He's a really smart guy who is laughed at for his beliefs, and is drummed out of his field, but then is introduced to an amazing women in a rainstorm who shows him an incredible secret that changes his life forever. Not to mention, they have the same kind of look, and the diplomat personality. I'm not saying Will is a rip-off of Daniel, I just think they might both represent the same archetype. What do you think?

I agree! I've got an impression that the actor playing Will have watched too many Stargate SG1 episodes, and his fav character was Daniel I don't think it is only wrighters foult, it mostly depends on actor's style of playing and personality too

The first time I saw him, I thought "Omg he looks like Daniel Jackson", and I've noticed that alot of his mannerisms are fairly similiar to Daniels, (especially the younger Daniel in earlier seasons anyway)

Will actually reminded me more of Fox Mulder than Daniel Jackson. He just kinda looks like Daniel, but he wouldn't be the first genre actor to look similar to another actor in the genre.

Well, all the episodes were filmed before the series premiered, so I'm not sure Will's switch to contacts can be said to have resulted as a reaction to the comparisons being made between the characters.

For myself, Will did not remind me of Daniel until I saw this thread and then some of the similarities occurred to me, like both have theories that are dismissed as crazy until proved correct.

However, the resemblance seems rather superficial because I think they're significant differences between the characters. For example, Daniel dove head first into the Stargate program and seemed to have no real qualms about cutting his ties to the rest of the world, while Will continues to kinda keep one foot outside of the Sanctuary.

And while Daniel had to learn to work within the more structured military environment of the SGC, Will is having to learn to work outside of the law enforcement structure he's used to, most recently in Edward and also in Folding Man.

to me he does remind me of daniel jackson but we cant say that for every clever person thats has his theroys shot down,hes a cool charcter and i love the show thats all that bothers me
