News just in: a key Heroes character is being killed off later this season!

The identity of the soon-to-be-deceased is being kept under wraps, but - according to various whispers we've heard - the person in question is male and a member of the regular cast. And we've been assured that it's one character viewers are definitely going to miss.

So, will Sylar be exacting revenge on HRG/Parkman following last season's body-swap plot? Could Peter's job as a paramedic place his life in danger? Or will Hiro's illness actually prove to be fatal?

'The Riches' actor cast in 'Heroes'

The Riches alum Todd Stashwick has been cast in NBC's Heroes.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 40-year-old will join the show later this season in a recurring role.

His character Eli ties in with the traveling carnival storyline on 'Redemption' and is said to be closely linked to Robert Knepper's Samuel.

Rumor: Is a "dead" character from Season 1 returning?

Rumor: Is The "Isaac" Actor Coming Back?
Santiago Cabrera's "Isaac Mendez" character was one of the first "big" characters to be killed off from Heroes during its first season.

But could he be returning?

A recent Tweet on Twitter from a Heroes crew member recently said this:

"Jack, Grunny, & Santiago all enjoyed watching that video! Thanks to whomever made it! "

Santiago? Either this is a typo, or maybe the "Hiro goes back in time to change the events of the show's past" rumor is true... or, it could be something as simple as an actor visiting some old friends on set.

Ausiello: Sendhil Ramamurthy resurfaces in November, so you’ll get your explanation then. Not sure if this is a clue but my Heroes mole tells me that more than 50 percent of Ramamurthy’s scenes since returning have been with Masi Oka.

Question: I heard that Sylar is going to have a love interest this season on Heroes. Could it possibly be Claire? That would make some people happy. —Laurie

Oct.13's Heroes may have been overshadowed by Claire's random lesbian kiss, but for me the best parts were the ones with Emma and Peter. Please tell me we're going to see a lot more of Emma's beautiful power. — Samantha D.

Kring also says a certain carnival leader will take an interest in Emma's power once he sees its value to his still-unclear plan.
