They did a great job with the casting. In my opinion so far I think the casting of Arya, Tyrion (not just for the obvious physical resemblance), and Daenerys are the best.

So yeah, did a rewatch, and I'll definitely say Arya is my favourite Stark sibling despite the short amount of scenes she was in, Tyrion is in general my favourite character, and I'm pretty glad I hadn't read the books before hand, and will be glad not to continue to do so. Out of interest though, I skimmed the first few chapters and got a bit more clarification on some things without going too far into the story and spoiling myself, so that was fun.

And yes, I'm getting manly squee-ing feelings from it all. Feels good to be this excited for a new TV show again - though I felt it for The Killing a few weeks back, for Walking Dead in October and Boardwalk Empire... Hmm. Not a bad lineup of new shows as of late.

I'm up for making threads where we discuss favourite moments or quotes - not for separate episodes, but for just in general - or character threads, or just family threads (House of Stark Appreciation et cetera). We gotta flesh this little section out a bit, I'd say.

I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with Favourites (character, quotes, houses/families, etc.)
