Linda in Pomona, Calif.: Got any Dollhouse news?
Boy do we. Show runner Joss Whedon spilled some Dollhouse dish at the Television Critics Association tour about what's in store for Echo (Eliza Dushku). Joss says, "Echo starts really realizing that as a person, she not only exists, but that she has a mission—that she has something she wants. This year we are going to see the results of everything she went through last year, particularly the event with Alpha where she was downloaded with all of her personalities. We are going to see what effect that's had on her, and we are going to find her to be a great deal less passive and a great deal more directed in what she wants, and that is, of course, going to make her life a lot harder. And the more she finds out about what is going on around her and the more we find out, the creepier it is going to get, because creepy is what it makes it fun."

Tim in Pittsburgh: With Amy Acker now on Happy Town, will she be in Dollhouse next season?
Dollhouse boss Joss Whedon can answer this for you: "Yes, and it is not nearly as much as we would like, but we are going to make the most of [Amy Acker] in those few."

Dollhouse Season Two Is All About "Murder and Sex"

Dollhouse, one of the most morally depraved and exciting shows on TV, returns in exactly one month, and to get you ready, we've chatted up the stars.

The cast promises that season two delivers all the babes-in-bondage and zombie-mind-control weirdness you'd expect, plus a new look that may change the way you see the story forever.

            continues:

                  Summer Glau Set for Dollhouse

It had been fairly inevitable that it would happen eventually, but plans are now set for Summer Glau to appear on Dollhouse. HitFix.com's Daniel Fienberg has confirmed the news with FOX, after Dollverse reported that Glau would play a character named Bennett, who works inside the Dollhouse.

HitFix now adds that Bennett, who will appear in multiple episodes, is someone who shares a past with Echo (Eliza Dushku) and has a connection to another Dollhouse character. They also note that Bennett works for a Dollhouse, but probably not the one the series centers on – the show has already established that there are many Dollhouses across the globe.

Robyn in Port St. Lucie, Fla.: At the end of last season on Dollhouse, Alpha slashed Victor's face. Is this something they will fix? Will he still be a Doll, or will they use him like they used Amy Acker's character after Alpha did that to her?

In season two of Dollhouse, Victor is still a Doll, and yes, happily, his face will be fixed. Joss Whedon is crazy, but not so crazy that he'd permanently ruin the prettiness of Enver Gjokaj!

More on Summer Glau's Dollhouse Role

We all know Summer Glau is coming to Dollhouse and that she'll play a Dollhouse employee of some sort – but now a FOX-related source has given me a bit more information on her character.

Joss Whedon has said he would not cast Glau as a Doll, due to her playing similar roles of that sort in the past – and indeed, he's gone the opposite route. Rather than playing a Doll, Glau is playing one of the people who makes the Dolls what they are. Yes, Glau's character, Bennett, is the equivalent of Topher - a Programmer. Bennett works in a Dollhouse that is new to the series, located in Washington, DC.

Bennett comes into play as Alexis Denisof's new character Daniel Perrin (briefly introduced in the season premiere) has his role and storyline elevated. Perrin is a US senator, so it seems a trip to Washington, DC is likely in store for the Dollhouse crew.
