Some new character stills over at io9 reveal that Luciana Carro(Kat in Battlestar Galactica) will be part of the cast in the upcoming Caprica series...
Kat was a recurring character in BSG up until the end of season 2 when she sacrificed herself to save her crew mates. Her past was never really revealed. All we knew was that she was involved with some shady dealings back on Caprica(the planet) involving drugs. Was she a Cylon? The fact that the actress who played her, Luciana Carro is popping up in Caprica certainly suggests she may have been, although apparently she is playing a different character called Pryah, who works for Daniel Graystone. So who knows..but I doubt its a coincidence.

There are a lot of intriguing things going on both in front of and behind the cameras on SyFy Channel’s new series CAPRICA. The series is a prequel to BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, with executive producers Ron Moore and David Eick shepherding the tale of how and why Cylons were created and how humanity got itself into the fix we saw chronicled in the previous series.

In the past year, Syfy wrapped the four-season run of the network-defining Battlestar Galactica, but while the show’s fans mourned the loss of the intelligent and provocative series, its executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, and co-executive producer Jane Espenson, haven’t closed the doors on the franchise.
