    Tigh-tastic news - Michael Hogan to guest on Dollhouse.

    According to Mo Ryan of the Chicago Tribune, he'll be starring in the second episode of season 2. As previously reported, Jamie Bamber will in the first episode.

      TV critics honor Battlestar Galactica as top show

      Battlestar Galactica, which failed to get a single Emmy nomination for dramatic series, earned the award for top program of the year at the Television Critics Association awards ceremony Saturday in Pasadena, Calif., Variety reported:

      "It certainly feels appropriate that we received the acknowledgement from the people who were champions of this show from its outset," Mark Stern, exec VP of original programming at Syfy, told Daily Variety. "Critics really adopted this show early on and, in a weird way, this feels like a conclusion to the process."

            Edward James Olmos joins cast of Green Hornet

            BSG, Miami Vice and Blade Runner stalwart Edward James Olmos has joined the cast of Michel Gondry's upcoming The Green Hornet, according to Hollywood Snitch.

            Olmos joins an increasingly impressive cast on the superhero flick, which as of now includes well-known comic book fan Nicolas Cage (who is currently trying to develop a follow up to Ghost Rider, will lend his voice to the upcoming Astro Boy, and will star in the adaptation of Mark Millar's Kick Ass comic book), Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou as Kato, and Seth Rogen as Britt Reid, aka The Green Hornet.

            The Green Hornet is currently scheduled for a July, 2010 release.

                  Katee Sackhoff is as clueless about Starbuck as everyone else

                  If you're hoping that the actress behind Kara Thrace can shed light on her character's journey from drunken hotshot pilot to the saviour of mankind, think again. For Katee Sackhoff, the mysteries surrounding her Battlestar Galactica role aren't annoying—they're essential.

                  Asked whether she could shed any light on Starbuck's past, Katee Sackhoff had this to say:

                  "No. There's no reason to find out who or what she was. I don't think that's something that Ron [Moore] ever wanted. Who Starbuck was as a metaphor was always up in the air. She was always on this self discovery of trying to find herself the entire run of the show. I think it's poetic justice for her to end the way she did. There's no point in trying to figure it out, I think that would ruin what was a very simple end for her."

                    'Plan' for 'Battlestar' fans: Wait a little longer for TV movie

                    Since it went of the air in March, "Battlestar Galactica" fans have been waiting for the debut of the "BSG" film "The Plan." But unless they plan to purchase the film on DVD, they're going to have to wait a bit longer.

                    Syfy had said in the past that the two-hour film, which was written by Jane Espenson and directed by Edward James Olmos, would air on the network this fall. As recently as June, Syfy president Dave Howe said that it would likely air in November

                        The Big Bang Theory - Casting News - Katee Sackhoff to Guest

                        I can exclusively reveal that Katee Sackhoff, formerly Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on "Battlestar," will have a small role in the Nov. 23 episode of "Big Bang Theory." Sackhoff, who is a series regular on the new season of "24," will play herself in a cameo in the episode. Scroll down to the end of this post for more details on her appearance.

                        The Nov. 2 episode of "Big Bang Theory," "The Cornhusker Vortex," centers on Sheldon (!) teaching Leonard all about football. But there's also a scene in which Sheldon (Jim Parsons) fixes himself a snack with the help of his trusty Cylon toaster.
