I'm going to gain 200 lbs right now so I can sit next to him!
....I would have to gain 40 lb just to be considered "average" by the seat manufacturer's standards..

In all honesty you do not want someone squashing you on a long flight, so if you ask them to kindly move over they should do, and can squash the person in the seat on the other side. I know we all like our bubble of personal space, but, on a plane that is not possible. On a long flight i had one guy fall asleep on my shoulder, shock horror, intrusive, but he was cute, so i left him alonesigpic
