Idiot. 5 minutes after that meeting is over she's gonna claim he tried to get into her pants.

speaking of shootings - Cruz is the hispano (send him back!) who also said it's ok for the SS to barge into homes at random & gun down the occupants right? cf. Botham Jean

I think it's a safe bet that Cruz is a legal immigrant who became a citizen.

And we don't have an SS (Aside from the secret service) in this country.

But ignoring the obvious, it looks like the defense is seeking a change of venue due to heavy media coverage in the district where it happened. A common tactic, used by prosecution & defense. You don't want a trial by media, do you?

Maybe this should have gone in the bonehead thread, but..

How about this: We don't allow people that are stupid enough to need something like this to have children, pets or drive cars.

            https://www.autonews.com/regulation-...upant-warnings

WASHINGTON -- Major automakers said on Wednesday they have agreed to equip nearly all U.S. vehicles with systems to remind motorists of passengers in the back seat, by model year 2025, in an effort to avoid deaths of young children left behind in hot cars.

The announcement on so-called rear seat reminder systems comes as the U.S. Congress has been debating the issue. In July, the Senate Commerce Committee passed by voice vote legislation to eventually require automakers to install technology on new vehicles alerting exiting parents to check for children in the back seat.

The automakers from two trade groups representing nearly all automakers said the companies are committing to include audible and visual alerts on vehicles by the 2025 model year but could get an additional 12 months for vehicles about to be redesigned and could exempt emergency motor vehicles.

It ought to be interesting to watch this play out.

Notice the reaction from the Democrat officials in Calif. They clearly expect Trump to just hand out more $. I'm pretty sure that isn't what Trump has in mind.

Myself, to quote a fishy admiral, "It's a trap". Dollars to donuts that Trump is baiting a trap for Calif. officials to fall into. Just in time for next year.

Who said it had anything to do with immigration?

California does all sorts of stupid things that he could trip them up on.

good so this is about the Trump government letting down americans
once again proving the GOP doesn't give a s about its own citizens (except the elites)
                    nationalism's just a pretext

how dare the commonfolk expect help from their Godvernment!

you're right it's a trap...that will ensnare the trapper (IF the DNC is clever enough to call out the GOP on this)

The DNC clever? Puh-Lease. They're the folks that shot themselves in the arse in 2016, and are fixing to do the same in 2020. (Wasn't that N.C. House election do-over that happened last night supposed to be an indicator of what we can expect in 2020? The Media and the Dems certainly kept telling us that was the case.

Oh, btw, the Republican candidate won last night.

My guess is that Trump is planning a full scale political assault on California and their ultra-liberal habit of giving away the store to every ne'er do-well that comes down the pike, even to the point of asking for more of them via sanctuary cities policies and such. By refusing to just hand out more money, but instead building govt facilities to house these people (and of course, such facilities will have rules the tenants must abide by, which won't be popular with the lefties), he expects Calif. politicians to reject such aid.

This will force the residents, particularly the taxpaying residents to focus on the costs of their leaders generosity.

Haven't you noticed that Trump generally plays the long game? For example, it's going to take time, but by remaking the judiciary branch he will have a far larger and more longlasting impact on the nation than almost anything else he could do.

My guess is this is another such strategy.

that's why the next president must ignore SCOTUS/SDS rulings

Nicholas Haros Jr. wants Rep. Ilhan Omar and “the Squad” to know exactly who those "some people" are that perpetrated the "something" that took the life of his mom – and nearly 3,000 other people – 18 years ago.

The New Jersey resident, who lost his mother Frances in the 9/11 terror attacks, ripped the Minnesota congresswoman on Wednesday during a reading of victims’ names at Ground Zero after Omar's infamous remarks earlier in the year in which she described the most horrific attack to ever occur on the American homeland simply as “some people did something.”

“Today I am here to respond to you exactly who did what to whom,” said Haros Jr., who sported a shirt with Omar's words and was met with some applause from a crowd of families and relatives who had gathered for the ceremony. “Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion?"

He continued: “On that day 19 Islamic terrorists, members of Al Qaeda, killed over 3,000 people and caused billions of dollars of economic damage. Is that clear?”

As Haros Jr. spoke, he was standing just steps away from the site of the former World Trade Center's south tower — where his 76-year-old mother, Frances, walked into work one pleasant Tuesday morning and never returned home.

“But as to whom? I was attacked. Your relatives and friends were attacked,” Haros Jr. said, looking out to the crowd. “Our constitutional freedoms were attacked and our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles was attacked."

He added: “That’s what some people did,” Haros Jr. concluded. “Got that now? We are here today congresswoman to tell you and the Squad just who did what to whom. Show respect in honoring them, please.”
Yes, that's a Fox article. I looked at a few other reports on this, and the bias of the coverage was so obvious it was useless. Some wouldn't even identify the offending congresscritter by name.

                              this coming from a Trumpanzee
"rigged" is what your King always said right? except it wasn't credible whereas now the rigging's all the more credible since he's the one in power (means motive etc.)

                              why not
if the president feels it's their duty to go against Scotus then it's legit if they've the backing of the People

one of the reasons I always said fools like her should keep a low profile at least till the election
