ladygris, I can't stand it anymore. Where do you get your beautiful textures and stocks?

A lot of different places!

Some of them are from the Shadowplay tutorials, but you have to be a member to even see the tuts.

Some (especially lately) are from WeHeartIt. These tend to be the perfect size for the sigs I make since my sigs lately run around 500px wide.

Others are from deviantART. You don't have to be a member here, but some members restrict their resources only to other members. So be careful and read the stock rules when you look at stuff.

And there's the traditional Google Image search.

Speaking of, I'm working on a piece right now with stocks from WeHeartIt, and I have NO idea what to put for text!

By the way, becoming a member of dA is no problem - it's free and they don't bug you. It's also a terrific way to learn. There are thousands of tutorials and resources of every possible description and order. I participate in many of the groups there and engage in challenges that can be very challenging - usually requiring certain stocks to be used. The one thing that important to remember, however, is that although folks provide stocks for free, they do expect you to abide by their rules as ladygris says. I have some stock up on dA myself. I have no problems with anyone using it anywhere (as long as they don't claim it as their own!) but I do appreciate it when folks link back their finished creations to my stock so that a) I can see what they did with it and b) show others where they can get the stocks for their own artwork.
