I've been playing around on Shadowplay, doing things totally unrelated to what's going on around here. I finally came up with something I liked, using this tutorial.

When you post, it might be an idea to post about 6 or 7 empty posts (write challenge or whatever you want to be able to post) and then go back and edit. That way, the challenge posts won't interrupt the flow of the convo, or for that matter, extra posts won't disrupt the challenge posting. If you find you've posted more empty posts than you need, you'll be able to delete them.

Oh wow, it's been so long since I've had time to even open GIMP let alone come visit this lovely thread. Skimmed the last couple of pages only - so many posts since I was last here! It seems I have no green since I haven't been on GW much this year - so virtual green for the great textures!!

I did go open GIMP and mess around with no idea what I was doing ... I don't know how these will work as textures but here they are. They're all made with only the effects that GIMP provides - i.e. I didn't use any images, just messed around with filters and gradients and modes

Thanks lg - feel free to use them if they suit. I've only made the Christmas textures prior to this and I discovered when trying to use those that they didn't really work .. hopefully I've learnt a bit from that for these ones
