Strangled and burned at the stake according to what I read on a Protestant webpage, by order of Thomas More, then counselor at the court of Henry VIII. Tynedale seemed to me to be a Lutheran in the end.

According to the wikipedia entry on William Tyndale, he was betrayed to imperial authorities by someone named Henry Phillips. Most stories of Thomas More being involved with burning people at the stake are just that: stories...fictions put forth by Protestants to cast aspersions on the Catholic Church. Thomas More was actually a victim of the same religious and political upheaval that Henry VIII was responsible for that got Tyndale killed. Thomas More was also killed by Henry VIII when he was declared guilty of treason for refusing to swear to the Act of Succession. So in short, Henry VIII had a nasty habit of executing those who opposed him, and both Tyndale and More were victims of his

There's nothing new, except perhaps colleagues snitching on colleagues. Though that last happens even offline so not that new either.

I think it's common sense not to speak ill of your employer or the company you work for, unless you like to get fired.
