And who is saying this? Unbiased sources? Hardly. As I said the other day, all are on the payroll of some school or otherwise govt. funded operation. You follow the money. And the bias of their employers.

Your opinion of schools is irrelevant to their ability to produce results.
You said a few pages ago that other countries were "sucking off" US R&D in drugs which is why they cost so much in the USA and we get them cheaper.
No, we get them cheaper because major breakthroughs are achieved in universities and schools so the profit motive is mostly avoided. We also get them cheaper because it is not private business buying the drugs, but the government so it can utilize buying power of the entire nation.

From my understanding of this fkd up industry we are all being ripped off unless the Govt brokers a deal w/ the pharmaceuticals that allows the country to sell generic drugs, aka the same thing without the brand on it for half the price.

Ever since that happened here a few years back I'm not required to spend 30$ for a box of allergy pills but more like 15-20$ now.
