There is a monumental spat developing between Qatar and the rest of Sunni Arab states right now.

Qatar's state-run news agency ran a story about one of its top officials boasting that his country has good ties with both Israel and Iran. The Israel part went pretty much unnoticed, but the Iran part got everybody's goat. Qatar tried to claim that their news agency was hacked, to no avail.

As of today, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar. Their airlines no longer fly to Qatar. All Qatari troops were removed from the Saudi campaign in Yemen. Bahrain has ordered all Qatari citizens to leave the country within two weeks or else. Bahrain's and Egypt's seaports and airports are closed to all Qatari vessels.

Qatar is trying to minimize the damage, and started by kicking out the Palestinian Hamas headquarters.

That one should be fun to watch.

Interestingly enough Trump started to tweet in his usual uninformed way further driving a wedge between those Gulf states. Then Qatar started mobilizing its forces threatening to shot at other Gulf states. Apparently State and Defense had to tell the messiah that the US has a very important base in Qatar and now he is trying to be the peacemaker again....Had there been more tension involved he could have potentially started a war between some strategic allies. I would like to personally thank Annoyed and Garhkal for putting us in this type of situation. Thank you, I feel much SOOOOOOO much safer thanks to your voting strategy.

Of course not. I think the quote that started this whole mess is completely accurate and genuine, and that's why the Arab outrage is so intense.
