Are you one of those people that believe porn is just "two clicks" away whenever you pop online? It's like the people in my country campaigning for internet filtering...

They are under the impression that child porn is everywhere and anyone can stumble upon it while surfing the net..

Wrong..... I don't think the sickos doing that would be sto stupid as to just pop stuff ont he net for everyone to see. From what I have read in papers and seen in various documentaries on the topic is that this stuff is done very much in secret and only those that know where to look get access to, and find those sites. If they just posted that crap on the net they'd be arrested and found very fast..

I'm all for getting rid of this kind of stuff, but just leave the other stuff alone.

Yes you do have a point but....in America the ACLU got the NAMBLA site legallized..much to many peoples disgust, stating it was free speech...so there are, unfortunatley, very slippery slopes that need to be watched out for and organizations like the 2 mentioned that will cry free speech

We all agree that child porn is sick and should be illegal. And quite rightly. So why can't we agree that other forms of offensive and disgusting material shouldn't be illegal?

Child porn is wrong because it involves actual children who are unable to give consent to what they are doing. In rape fantasy porn, the actors in real life, give consent. Similarly if someone really wanted cg-cp, where no children were used making it, that would be completely acceptable and the government would have no place stopping that.

i don't disagree with that, but i also know that censorship is a bad thing. Perhaps, instead of tossing money down a hole trying to stamp it out, they should invest some in figuring out what part of these mens brains is so frakked up so they can find a way to unfrak it and 'fix' them

I'm not the thought policel.... But I have to say I have never had thoughts about kids in that way, and don't think normal people would.
