The smaller type of penguins can be magnetised, most notably the galapagos penguins and fairy penguins. (Fairy penguins are trained to pick up watches dropped by tourists swimming off the australian coast, on account of how magnetic they can become if you try hard enough). But king penguins and emperor penguins live too close to the pole; if you magnetise one it can't move properly
