TPBTT has very little SG1 in it at all. The author has a story he wants to tell and he sidelined SG1 in order to do it. Teal'c, though, has a bit more prominent part in the story. I think the author didn't really know much about SG1, considering how he wrote the story and the mistakes he made.
Valhalla is actually two stories that have very little to do with each other. Jonas Quinn, however, gets to be in one half of the story.

I think it's really a matter of opinion. I liked Alliances more than a lot of the other ones and actually really enjoyed Sunrise. I never bothered to finish Valhalla and I personally didn't care for The Barque of Heaven.sigpic

So I've said before that I am reading Moebius Squared. I've just restarted from the beginning for the 3rd time But, it does seem to be flowing better for me. Hopefully this will do it and I'll finally be able to finish the darn thing!sigpic

It's funny, I think I've liked every book that has gotten a "bad" reviewsigpic
