I knew teal'c said "indeed" it a lot, but never felt that he said it too much.

          Then I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFBsjCt3l_M

Honestly, I have no idea why I never got sick of it... but I didn't ... I LOVE IT!

Colonel Jack O'Neill: So what's your impression of Alar?
Teal'c: That he is concealing something.
              Colonel Jack O'Neill: Like what?
Teal'c: I am unsure. He is concealing it.

                  Indeed is Teal'c's catch phrase.

It's like the scriptwriters just got locked into him replying any positive affirmation with "indeed" and that was that, no way no how it could be anything else. A shame. I enjoyed his "indeed"s in earlier seasons, but he could've integrated another word or two as the series progressed.
sacrilege ! profanation ! blasphemy ! Teal'c is the coolest character on the show and so is everything he says, and never again will you so belittle His Indeedness - whether in word or in deed

                    now, recant that statement !

but you gotta love his Pauly Walnuts hair better than his indeeds now...

that'd be her hands, thank you very much. and actually, it didn't take long at all. i set up a macro in word, copy pasted each transcript in, and tallied in excel. couldn't have taken more than two hours. my count was 146 with 106 of them one-liners, here's the list.

                        indeed.

and the whole team just look at him funny
