Modeling Challenge Thread

Well here my final submission. It incomplete and the textures are horrible. Uv mapping kept on coming out wrong and I have lost my patents with this model. And I could not get the glow for the navigation lights, the red things looking right either. Plus it getting confusing using two different modeling programs at once.

My Final submission, altough the station is far from being complete. It'd take months to detail this behemoth

The name.. hmm.. Olympus station (as Olympus mons)?

Spoiler:

What's still missing:
- 0,2million windows (probably)
- n*1000 defensive turrets
- surface textures with UV and Bump mapping
- Useful use for certain surfaces and areas
- few hangar interiors (those would be cool )
- Many cool things

I have an idea of two opposing surfaces, which would have opposite fields of gravity, meaning that on the area where auroras should dock would have 2 more landing pads on the opposite side of the arm. You'll get the idea from text "something here?" in the 2nd last pic.

I Made a committee of a few members on this tread and I'll send each of them a outline of whats being judged. and the person with the highest score over all will win.

You'll have to wait until five or so days.

My vote goes to Semmer's Olympus station, if it had engines it would be a super carrier! Quite frankly that is a beast of a station! A truly great design, jolly good work!

Knowles: Ummm, no it a secret, and for that exact reason lol! So anyway it was a good try but i'm not going to tell you.

Oh, shame I was just about to sign of them checks and send out my army of private detectives to dig up them photos and any other incriminating evidence . And if that did not work their was always the option implantation of Go'uld into them. Whole well may be it best that it fair and free of lobbying.

especialy if he flip one side so both dry dock arms pointed the same way it would even look like a ship
