Im surprised they managed to even reprogram it if it is true. But Im sure the asgard could come up with a ship based less devastating version

Ok i agree with what most of you are saying but there are a few pieces of the puzzle that are shurley left out. First the ancients seeded the pegesus galaxy as well as the milky way. I am under the impression that the bug that attached itself to shepard is how the wraith began humaniod form. From this the ancients were still exploreres and built offensive and deffensive weapons how could they not have seen the threat they could have become early on and why not take precautions. it's just a thought
