*sighs....* so true. I propose a new inititive. Land Rovers prowling British streets. Any NEDS (chavs) spotted are shot on sight. That should sort out that lot.
Any PC brigade that speak will have phone and computer taps, so when they ruin our fun and SAS/SBS hit squad arrives and takes them out.
Finally, the Crown should either A) disolve the monarchy or B) Disolve parliment and begin to re-conquer the Empire!!!

PJ's may be have been part of the Aurora's compliment. We know they had the hangers to accommodate them. But I think they were probably only taken on scientific or research missions. That would save the Aurora having to land on the planet. And they wouldn't be much use in a full blown battle as they only have a small number of drones.

The Ancients were like the Asgard; they believed more in largely-invulnerable warships being sent out to simply wipe out all resistance. They didn't really believe in things like fighters and bombers.

agreed (in the ancients way of thinking: Kill the hive with the battle-cruiser and then: Jump to hyperspace (leave the darts stranded if their is no gate) - ignoring the possibility of rescue of a whole lot of enemy fighters that way))

still a few jumpers they might have (for planetary expeditions - never get a ship in the atmosphere if you don't have to - anubis flaggship told us that, it was destroyed because of that)

but still it would be few and they would not be "wasted" in dog fights (with the ancients being....well even if they have cool weapons....pretty pacifist, they would not be aggressive enough to go into dog fights anyway (they would not have lost the last transport to atlantis befor they left, if the had awaited it with all available jumpers and escorted it))

even more so, as jumpers are not main combatants (the ancients would have constructed a more sophisticated war machine if they wanted them to be used the way the team does - same goes for atlantis, which is ****ty armed (no energy defense cannons and other smaller defense weapons, so that they have to waste drones to destroy darts and no beam weapons (like the satellite) to really go to war with)

The ancients would never think about going toe to toe with the darts with the puddle jumpers. The ancients were not trained to be fighter pilots like most of out military was. They would have just relied on their shield and weapons tech to take on the wraith.
