    *message from Apollo*

    "Atlantis, this is Major Fothering of the Apollo. We observe Sheppard and his team appear to have aquired another jumper and seem to be getting ready to leave."
    If found, is probably lost on the way to Azaroth or the Pegasus Galaxy

      {Chuck}

      Chuck emitted a deep sigh of relief when he finally received the message from the Apollo
      "Phew, false allarm sir, we got transmission from the Apollo: Sheppard seems ready to leave with another jumper."

        {Kenny}

        Stepping from the transporter, Kenny walked beside Thurston, his shoulders set back, and stared ahead. Whatever awaited would have to be faced with courage, and conviction. The Commander would have demanded no less. The doors ahead opened, and beyond, the Wraith could see the ring of the Ancients, set against multi-coloured glass panes, light from them dancing on the floor.

        "And so..." he murmured. "It begins."

          Just when he thought surprises were over, the gate suddenly activated.
          Chuck said in the coms "Incoming wormhole!"
          When Woolsey arrived he typed on the console and raised the shield. Then he heard a beep from a monitor.
          We're receiving transmission.."
          "Atlantis this is Mckay, do you read?"

            {Kenny}

            The whoosh of the event horizon surging to life stopped the Wraith in his tracks, and he turned his head, looked towards the stairs just as the human named Woolsey appeared by the cleverman. A voice he recognised, that of Dr. McKay, came through the link.

            Uttering a soft growl, Kenny took a step further into the command centre. "What is happening?" he asked.

              The Wraith looked at the human out of the corner of his eye, and gave a soft chuckle. "Major Thurston, I have no intention of prevaricating, as there is nothing for me to hide." He stared then at the doors of the transporter, his mood suddenly bleak. If he could not convince these humans to assist them, then the Alliance was lost, and everything the Old One had striven for with it. He could not voice this to the hostile warrior beside him, and would not, for to do so would be a show despicable weakness.

              He was jolted from his thoughts by a flash, and then the transporter doors opened, leading out into a corridor.

              {Major Ruben Thurston} NPC

              "Just be wary Wraith. Woolsey may seem weak and ineffectual even by our standards. But he is wry and shrewd man, a negotiator and very cunning, he can see through people, even your kind." Ruben almost grunted the words out as he led Kenny into the centre of Atlantis's heart.

              {Richard Woolsey} NPC

              Looking up from his desk as Chuck made the call, Richard wasn't surprised. Colonel Sheppards timing was as always impeccable. "Thank you Charles, let me know the moment he is on his way."

              As he reached the top of the stairs, the Major cast a casual glance over his shoulder at the Gate, he simply shrugged. "Probably Sheppard." He passed by the technicians and headed straight for Woolsey's office, tapped on the door. "Mr Woolsey sir, the emmisary sir."

              "Come in, come in. Take a seat please. Oh and Major, see that we're not disturbed unless it is Colonel Sheppard. Charles..." he pushed his desk to coms. "The moment Colonel Sheppard and his team arrive, have them come up straight away."

                {Kenny/Bonewhite}

                As the door closed behind the Major, the Wraith tilted his head a fraction, eyeing the small man behind the large wooden table. A hand waved in the general direction of a chair, and Bonewhite huffed softly, edgy, aware he was on his own in the room, and wondered what game the Lantean played? If it was Hairey's intention to make him ill at ease, then the blade had succeeded. Still, it would do no good to allow him to see it.

                Coming to a decision, Bonewhite sat in the chair gingerly, and placed his palms flat on his thighs. "Mr. Woolsey," he said, by way of a greeting, and tracked the objects in the room. Pictures, odd sculptures of strange beasts, of humans, and much more. "I come to offer you something that I know you desire."

                ((OOC ~ 'Bonewhite' is K's Wraith name and was invented by Jo Graham, author of Homecoming.))

                  {Richard Woolsey} NPC

                  Richard removed his spectacles and wiped his brow, a sign of slight nervousness. he replaced them and looked at thurston standing there near the entry looking all macho and intimidating. He was probably more concerned about him than his 'guest'.

                  "Before we start, do you have a name? I abhor calling people simply 'you'. And it is timely that you have come to us, as strange as it may seem, I feel once again our two races may be in need of each other again. Have you ever see anything like these?" He turned his monitor around so that Kenny could see several obsidian ships, similar in profile to Ancient Aurora class but much more deadly and battle looking. "Two of these attacked the Apollo not twenty four hours ago, we tracked them to no avail. They seem to just appear and disappear as quickly, not wanting to have a protracted engagement." he sat back and clasped his hands before him awaiting the Wraith's repsonse.

                    {Kenny/Bonewhite}

                    Somewhat startled by the question, Bonewhite considered the human opposite, and drew a breath across his sensory pits, and the back of his tongue. Woolsey's scent carried overtones of anxiety, and excited his predatory instincts, enzyme gathering at the maw on his palm in response to the sensory input. He decided not to grace the man with an answer, but grunted, turning his attention to the monitor.

                    "Indeed," he growled, eventually, and turned a hard canary gaze on Hairey. "We have been attacked by such ships, but we do not know who they are." Lifting his off hand, he brought it to his chin to stroke his goatee. "Yet..."

                      Richard leaned across his desk, he swiveled the screen back around. There was more he had to show, but he would withold that for now. Just what this enigmatic Wraith was after he could only guess but he would play his cards close. "Hmmm, I see you have learned the nuances of human shadow play well sir, it is usually 'but', though 'yet' is much the same. Very well, let's talk, what is on your mind?" As he waited he called Thurston over.

                      "Major Thurston!"

                      "Yes sir" he strolled in with that usual warrior ease and stood at Kenny's side.

                      "Do we still have the VIP suite set up?"

                      "We do indeed sir."

                      "Very well, that will be all."

                      "Sir?"

                      "Dismissed Major."

                      "Yes sir." Blunt, what the hell was Woosley up to, Ruben pondered.

                      Richard sat back, negotiation was his forte' at times ruthless even callous. He hoped the Wraith had some inkling of Atlantis's hosptitality. There was something else he had. He looked at the photo's on his desk laying face down. A young woman, she for all appearances had the look of a hybrid, a half-wraith and there was a bounty on her head. he would save that for later.

                        Chuck, nervous because of the Wraith that just passed next to him, almost forgot to lower the shield. With a sigh he quickly typed on the console and lowered it.
                        Then he opened transmissions "This is Atlantis, we hear you, and the way is clear. Oh, and Mr. Woolsey is waiting for Col. Sheppard and his team in his office. We have... uhm.... visitors.."

                          Leaning forward, Bonewhite rested his talons lightly on the wooden surface of the table, and gave a thin smile. "We have a need of one who came to us before under the tutelage of the Old One. The female known as Teyla." The human's face acquired a disbelieving look, and Bonewhite could see the words forming on his lips even before he uttered them. That would not do! "We do not come... ah... empty-handed, Mr. Woolsey."

                          He settled back in the chair, head cocked, anticipating a response, but not certain what it would be. The Commander had spoken of the way he had been handled by these Lanteans, and there was no reason to believe they would not treat him in the same manner.

                            Heard Mckay's reply, Chuck alerted the infirmary as requested.
                            "Medical team to the Jumper Bay, repeat, Med Team to the Jumper Bay!"
                            He hoped it just wasn't anything too serious.

                              Richard weighed it up in his mind before speaking, "Teyla? what do they need her for....Michael." He remembered that it was said that Michael had eliminated their last Queen, without a Queen the hives would be in disarray. Perhaps that might be a good thing, or.....maybe to Atlantis's advantage. But would she..

                              "Very well, we will have to wait and see what Teyla and of course Colonel Sheppard have to say, oh and yes Todd....he is still our guest I imagine." He had no idea at this time what had become of him, still it doesn't pay to show all his cards. He turned over the corner of the photograph, a young woman, no more than maybe 20 years old, mouth open in front of a cctv camera they had placed near a gate. Perfect white human teeth, for the exception of very sharp, longer canines, a vision of the mythical vampire, snarling before she physically ripped the camera to pieces. But the worst of it was, apart from her personal guard of Wraith drones, was the litter of human bodies around the gate. Limbs and heads missing, bodies torn apart in a slaughter. She must be found and stopped, the Athosian's call her 'Bane' or 'Ghost'. Richard had another description for her 'Eulalie', from and old French myth, The Devil's Daughter.

                                The Wraith's eyes widened, as the name Hairey spoke registered, and for a long moment he could barely speak. Slowly, enunciating each word with care, so that the question could not be misinterpreted, he said, "Todd? The Commander? You speak of him as if he still lives?"
