Hi there. You need to get off probie status to get certain privileges. sigs are one of them.

People on probie status are not allowed signatures. Blame the spammers

Welcome to GateWorld Forum, Mamzelle_Malicia,

As long as you're on "Probie-status", which is different from the "Probie-rank" shown under your username, you cannot access the signature control panel. This had to be implemented as a protection against spammers (yes they ruin all the good things). As long as you're on Probie-satus you're on "moderation" as well, which means your posts need to be approved by a moderator before they appear. You also cannot access your own or anyone else's profile, nor can you send PM, post VMs or edit your posts. And probably some more things too. These are all protections the forum administrators had to take to protect the board against spammers.

As your post count, membership duration and reputation increases you'll at one point be promoted to the next user level (different from the rank under your nick/user name which is solely linked to your post count) and you'll be able to change your signature then and the Probie-restrictions plus moderation will cease to be. Rules for signatures include size (max 50kb for the total sum of all pictures included and a total 700-200px visual size restriction), spoilers etc. They can be found here.

They're too big. Except for the first one. They should be under 19.5 Kb. Also the 100x100 size might be a problem. The standard is 80x80, so when GW throws out data to fit the limits, the extra layers are probably the first thing to go.
