I don't know the size of the expedition but at the rate of red shirt deaths and getting their buts kicked by people the Atlantis expedition will soon be needing reinforcements.

The two red shirt scientists died in "The Defiant One", not "The Eye". As far as I know, nobody died in "The Eye" (the enemy had like 70 dead, but who cares about them?)Comment

Well, if someone goes back to the Rising and they show everyone who's leaving in the gate room so it wouldn't be too hard to make an estimation from that.Comment

TPTB have been delightfully coy about how many people are on Atlantis. I think we can safely assume that there are several hundred, but they don't want to get tied down to a number.
