Yeah, it's a Tamara/Varro fic. The only other one I know of is MrsB's that she started last year and hasn't finished yet. It's all set up to be good.

There will probably be more fics, but that's the end of that one. Jade insists there needs to be an apology fic of some sort of Varro apologizing for his part in Tamara losing her daughter. I might work on that one next.

Anyone interested in betaing or maybe alphaing a fic for me? I wasn't as fanatic about SGU so I don't know if I have Tamara's characterization down right and I don't really know how to wrap it up. It's just a short one shot.

Newbie here - I'd be happy to beta! I'm nitpicky beta, I'll warn you, but polite.

(A part of me felt glad that Vanessa James got someone in 'Epilogue', as I always thought she was pretty cool and felt bad for her . . . and now a weird little part of my brain wants to 'ship James/Volker. I'm not sure if they've ever exchanged two words, but they seem to have a . . . similarity of attitude? I could see it, anyway. But I'm off-topic.)

My thing re: Varro being Lucian Alliance and all, is mostly that Telford's brainwashed rant . . . wasn't all wrong. I can see legitimate reasons for someone to have joined up; given better options, Varro took them. I can handle that.

It is on ff.net, but ff.net was having some issues earlier today. . . and I've been reading/writing fic for more than 15 years and this is the first time I've heard the term "alpha" in this context. Huh. I assume it means someone to bounce ideas off of?

More or less you're right on the alpha thing - at least the way it was explained to me. Good to know it's on ff.net. We need to fill up the whole SGU section with Varro/Tamara goodness!
