Yes, Lorne would be a great character to appear on Stargate Universe as a main cast member. I'm pretty sure Kavan Smith would accept the offer if it was presented to him.

Judging from the posts on GateWorld, there is an overwhelming amount of positive vibes about Lorne and he seems to be very popular. I would love to see a few familiar (but not too familiar) faces such as him on SGU.

i for one would like to see Lorne promoted to commander of the GS-1 team

he'd bring back a certain level of military professionalism that is sorely lacking in Atlantis

since when did Carter forgo strict adherence to military protocol? addressing Sheppard as John, Keller as... whatever her name is, etc etc? yes, she's their commander and can call them by first name... but on SG-1 she struck me as a person who'd always use rank or rating when addressing military personnel... another example of bad writing from SGA
