I'll be sticking with the regular DVD format as long as I can. Whether Blu-Ray is better or not, I just can't afford an upgrade like that right now.

Well, I recently got me a PS3 so I've got Blu-Ray capability. If they do release it on Blu-Ray as well as DVD... I'm getting both. Yes, both.

I just hope Continuum won't be pushed back too far. I know they'll be wanting the space them apart but that could mean we'll have another year before seeing Continuum . Currently I'm loving forward to AoT more though, just because I love the Ori.

Waiting another year for Continuum would be torture. But all we can do is hope they don't do that.

I love the Ori as well (more than I ever thought I would), but am really looking forward to both movies equally.

FANTASTIC!!!!! A possible timeline on how long to wait... there's nothing like being given a date to add to the anticipation of concluding the Ori story... I'm so excited... anyone know where I can obtain (by any means) that Timeship Puddle jumper so I can watch it NOW!!! lol

On top of that, could there be a possibility of a Blu-ray release as well? And if so, would it include a lossless audio track like DTS-HD Master Audio in perhaps 7.1 for the audio and a high quality AVC encode for the video?

I'll definitely second that. Although the tentative date is something to look forward to, it is still quite some time from now.

MGM and 20th Century Fox are both Blu-ray exclusive studios so it may very well be on Blu-ray. It is the better format, despite the cheaper HD DVD players from Toshiba. For the long term choice, it is better for everyone as a whole to go with the Blu-ray format.

Perhaps, however Stargate is shown on Sci-fi channel, which is owned by Universal, which favors HD-DVD. This probably means that Sony and Universal will fight over it and it will be on neither format, or hopefully they do the right thing and release it on both formats.
