I'd like sg-1 to use the time jumper and go back in time to the battle of Thermopylae so they can assist the 300 to fight the persian empire, SG-1 and 300 combined....a dream come true .

S09, having a movie set within season 8 is unlikely. however, this could make a good atlantis episode/movie. just substitute anubis with the wraith or someone

          Spoiler:
          "What Came Before"

1,000 AD, High Orbit Over Dakara

Hundreds of ha'tak vessels are arranged in a defensive blockade around the planet we recognize as Dakara. Even more al'kesh and death gliders swarm around, as well, as if waiting for something.

On the lead mothership, the familiar figure of Ra waits. He is commanding a joint System Lord fleet to defend this capitol world of the Goa'uld empire. Alongside him (in their own ships) are Lord Yu and Sokar, two of the more prominent of the Lords. In addition to these, several minor System Lords are present, including Apophis and Amaterasu, as well as an unknown one named Zeus.

As the System Lords prepare their defense, a second fleet arrives from hyperspace; this one equal in size. But several of these vessels look different in design, and we gather that they're more advanced (unlike the System Lord ships, these ones look much like the modern-day ha'tak). It is soon revealed that this armada belongs to the rogue Goa'uld Anubis, who has come to finally destroy his adversaries in one fell swoop.

Ra, the Supreme System Lord, attempts to talk Anubis into surrender, but he isn't interested. Instead, the rogue launches an all-out attack, his al'kesh and gliders wreaking havoc on the enemy while his motherships fire long-range attacks from a distance.

The battle rages on for several minutes more, but Apophis' ha'tak is able to get within ring range of Anubis' flagship. Immediately, hundreds of System Lord Jaffa are ringed aboard. After a few tense moments, Anubis' flagship retreats into hyperspace, but the bulk of his fleet remains behind. Even with their inferior numbers, they are able to procure a stalemate over Dakara, and await their next orders.

In the lull of combat, though, the System Lords meet aboard Sokar's ship to discuss strategy. Apophis and Yu are in favor of heading to Anubis' homeworld, Tartarus, and blasting it into oblivion. But Ra refuses to pull the entire fleet to far away from his own stronghold on Abydos. Apophis protests, but Ra pulls rank and orders him to be silent.

By this time, we realize that the balance of power is quite different from when SG-1 will arrive on the scene. The majority of the Goa'uld who will reign during their time are only beginning to gain power now, and the Asgard seem to be completely absent. Also, the System Lords frequently refer to the threat of the Tok'ra; apparently, they're much more of a threat here in the past.

Meanwhile, on Tartarus, Anubis is marshalling his Jaffa forces to storm Dakara via the stargate. He claims that he will have his vengeance on the System Lords, and that the "unspeakable acts" he committed are nothing compared to what he can do now. Briefly, he pulls down his hood... to reveal a very human face. He has not ascended yet, but has studied much Ancient knowledge.

As his men prepare, Anubis goes through the gate to a smal lforested world, alone. This planet we recognize as Kheb, where Anubis (dressed in simple human clothing now) meets with a monk living there. He asks the monk for guidance and help in his battles, but the mystic merely tells him that he must give up on his lust for control and power if he hopes to ever follow the Path.

Furious, Anubis turns to leave, but the monk transforms into the familiar sight of Oma Desala. She begs him to stay, noting how much progress he has made, and to forget the evil ways of the Goa'uld. Feigning self-pity, Anubis declares that he must do one final act, to set things right, and will return. Satisfied, Oma nods and begins meditating again.

At long last, the System Lords decide to attack and destroy Anubis' much-smaller fleet. But as they get ready to launch their assault, Anubis himself arrives again, with two dozen extra ha'tak. But the two sides clash regardless, and the massive battle resumes.

Half-way through it, Anubis heads to his ship's ring room and maneuvers close to Zeus' lead vessel. He smugly places a distinctly-Ancient device on the platform and activates the rings.

On Zeus' ship, Jaffa suddenly report that the rings have activated, and that something was transported aboard. But that's as far as they get before the device begins glowing, and a massive pulse is emmitted, killing everything onboard. The System Lords are outraged, but are forced to fall back for fear Anubis uses another such device on them.

Knowing that he must be stopped, Lord Yu orders his ships to encase Anubis' in a sphere and fire down on them from all directions. At the same time, Anubis orders his men on Tartarus to gate onto Dakara, and a battle begins for control of the planet below.

Yu's ships fire, and Anubis' fleet is largely destroyed. But during the conflict, a single ring transmission was sent to the planet, and a black-clothed figure was seen stepping through the stargate as Jaffa died all around him.

The System Lords declare a victory, and round up Anubis' followers, but they cannot find the rogue himself. Ra demands that every world be searched, and they dispatch ships to every corner of the galaxy.

Meanwhile, Anubis has arrived once more on Kheb, and confronts Oma. He tells her that he has done what he needs to, and that his plan is ready; in a thousand-years' time, his trusted servants will have amassed a fleet and army for him, ready for him to lead when he has returned.

Oma chastises him for believing he can abuse ascension like that, but Anbus assures her (falsely) that he will use it to bring peace to the galaxy and destroy the System Lords. Foolishly, the Ancient listens, and gives him the last bit of knowledge to ascend. But even as he does so, Anubis; eyes glow, and he glares mockingly at Oma, shouting:

"Your kind believed themselves so pure... so superior. Now you shall see, Oma Desala, what a true power can do!"

Then he vanishes in a blast of light, and Oma, horrified, is left staring at the stars, wondering just what she has done...

they have to time travel (ugh i know another one) to then the ancients were part of the 4 races, maybe how they were formed, their battles with virus and the ori and a must....the setting up of the stargate system and what they had in in mind for it....would tie up alot.

I think it'd be neat if in SGA, they allude to the fact that they hope the Replicators and Asurans never meet, because it could be disastrous. Then, we could have a movie where they do find out about each other, and we have a massive Replicator War that crosses two or three galaxies and involves every major Stargate character from SG1 and SGA. Muahaha.

Wow. Yet again, a great idea from one we have seen is good at this. I also loved the bit at the end with Oma... But i wold also have liked to see more developed of this 'great evil' he was preported to have done.

Thanks. I didn't really spend much time on that one, to be honest, I just got an idea for explaining how Anubis ascended. I had planend to flesh out the whole "evil" thing, but then I just got sleepy... lol

OOOOOh - I like this post.

I would like a movie that is not Ori OR Replicator or Goauld related.

Let them bring in a new 'BAD GUY' a new breed of evil, sick and twisted aliens that doesn't run the theme of a religious regime.

They travel to a new World, a dark world where the evil ones want to turn everyone into a potato or something etc.....

Lots of action and explosions in space - lots of space battles with cool space ships!

An idea for a sub plot:

The gouald mostly steal their technology from other races and if they can, try to understand it and reverse engineer it to suit their needs.

But what if most of the common gouald tech such as hataks, cargo ships, zat guns, hand devices etc were merely adapted from someone elses design? ie a race of beings that predates the gouald, with a similar tech level. The gouald possessed the bodies of their scientists and leaders, stole their tech and wiped them out. Then destroyed all history of them to maintain their godly image to their newly acquired human slaves.
A race of beings, tech wise somewhere between humans and asgard. A race of beings fairly new to space travel (ie limited hyperdrive capability), but have done all the hard work themselves, not stolen from more advanced races.

I think it would be cool if they were modeled on the Protoss of the game Starcraft.

(this other race could be the Furlings too.....)
Fast forward......find an abandoned world......find a Furling in a stasis pod......
