He was surrounded by Goa'uld's who appeared to be nice, if I had no knowledge of them I would be on edge as well. It didn't help that Martouf was trying to separate Sam from the group, standard survival protocol in an alien environment is to stay together. Not to mention the fact that they were about to be imprisoned. Wouldn't you be "grumpy"?

lots of talking. i learned some more info on the tok'ra and jolinar. i guess all the talking scenes are needed to set up the part 2.

but, i can't help but still find this ep a bit boring. and i guess i am also prejudiced against goa'uld because i still am not impressed by the tok'ra.

Not a bad episode, kind of one of the episodes you wish you didn't know how it all turns out with the Tok'ra as it creates that mystery/suspense factor.

Interesting on what we find out about Jolinar of Malkshur and Martouf/Lantash relationship. The way that the Tok'ra are different to the Goa'uld and that they don't believe in extending their life through the sarcophagus because it would slowly take away the good. Also how the host and symbiont can co-exist as one.

You know things are bad when another team comes to extract you to let you see your Dad in his last days.

i guess also why they only grow what areas they need because that way when they leave would be fast to destory it.

A piece of "poetry" that I found floating around the web...

Jolinar gives Sam a posthumous dream
For the Tok'ra to find by the whole team.
Find them they do, including Jolinar's mate,
Martouf, who puts Sam in a much confused state.
"What do you offer," the Tok'ra will say.
"Friendship and tech to blow Goa'uld away."
"We'd rather have hosts, like one for Selmak."
Jack answers back, "What? Y'all are on crack."
Meanwhile there's Jacob dying in his bed.
"Come home Sam, before he is dead."
"You're all traitorous Tau'ri, and we think you all suck.
You're staying here, no matter who Martouf wants to ***"
You're staying here in the tunnels, imprisoned and stuck."

lol i think she had more chance with Martoof then jack altho i do like jack and sam better and as for her meeting guys from other worlds i think because of her job and the fact she could never have jack sam is more likely to date guys from other planets. plus since she was host to the Tok'ra Jolinar's as u know her feelings for Martoof were given to sam and she i'm guessing she slowly started to fall for him. by the way i agree fantastic poem

That line is exactly what I was thinking the entire episode. I don't like where they took Sam after Jolinar. They turned smart and rational Sam into some emotional wreck who is easily manipulated by men. Seriously this is like when you hook up with a chick who just broke up with someone, your taking advantage of their emotional state. And did anyone else think that "There are ways other than words" line was totally leading up to some making out until O'Neil cockblocked them. Seriously, Sam your way smarter than this!

I really liked this episode. we get to see more into the Tok'ra and also Jacob Carter. It was very weird when the symbiote went into him however.
Some say that he has only one ear.
And that he solved the Da Vinci Code in 3 minutes.
All we know is he's called
