Questions about the Bori

IMO if SG-1 do use it, it is basically the same the Ori telling their followers what to do, brainwashing them is basically just telling them what to do aswell except more forceful, taking away their free will, that's why the ancients didn't use it on the Ori to begin with imo.

How can you brainwash the Ori? Aren't they non coporeal energy beings?
Beings like that would not have a brain a such?

Not the Ori, the posts were actually referring to brainwashing their worshippers into realizing that the Ori weren't true gods. Such an act would pretty much destroy the whole belief system of Origin and thus the Ori's main source of power, although it would be a morally questionable act as SG-1 would more or less be doing something similar to what the Ori did in the past (brainwashing their followers into believing in Origin).

I think committing a lesser evil like that to save billions is reasonably
acceptable. I mean once the Bori lose their power base, which is
their followers they might piss of back to where they came from

Yeah it is the lesser evil of the two but I still don't see SG-1 going that far, the ancients thought it was wrong when they were under attack from the Ori and I think it'll be the same with SG-1. BTW do you have to refer to them as the 'Bori'? it's really quite immature.

I don't see it as a lesser evil. IMO mass brainwashing is to me as bad as mass slaughter. Both are basically imposing your will on somewhere else.. whether that will is to force subservience or death.

You may not of made it up but it is immature using it. Their name is the Ori, not Bori, which is just a childish way of saying you dislike them. Seriously lol that's just like like me calling the Asurans the crappycators because I think they're crappy as an enemy. You don't like them, fair enough but name calling is immature and to be honest not needed.
