I've finally caught up! My fic needs a title, had anyone got any ideas?

I'm still doing the a couple of scenes, though I think I've done the ending of it and I need to write up my notes on it but it's about sam going missing after threads and her reasons why- sam angst and emotional whumpage, complete with Jack going to find her after a secrets revealed about where she could be and why the place is secret. S/J ending of course. I'm working with CamandVala on it nut I'd still look forward to ideas for titles for discussion.

Just so I don't get accused of false advertising - Aftershocks only covers Season 1 at the mo - I'm just starting to write Season 2 now. It's also not devoted entirely to Sam/Jack *ducks to avoid tomatoes* but is focused on all the team relationships so some of the stories deal with Daniel/Teal'c some with Jack/Daniel, etc.

Managed to read the first chapter of Aftershocks last night during a bout of insomnia. No, no false advertising. Excellent! And there is more to Stargate that S&J ship! Though I do plan on reading them all, eventually!

Oh I'm not suggesting their feelings 'went away' after Entity. I think the problem was that after D&C although they agreed to leave it in the room, they really struggled to do it.

With Entity I think they both got the shock of completing being reminded why the regulations exist and why it was a bad idea for them to be so close.

And I agree I think in Threads when she comes to see him, he suddenly realises she isn't happy at all. Hence, 'always'.

I couldn't have put it better my self! Spot on, I agree completely. Did want to highlight -- literally -- your wonderful comment concerning Entity.

I know there are some out there who still doubt whether Sam and Jack can be together with him still in the military and the regs being in place. This is for y'all: I think it was a true belief in the spirit behind the regs that was the reason Jack felt the regulations were important. Not just because they existed and he was afraid to break them, but because he felt they really were in Sam's best interest. But of course, Threads and his realizing how much she loved and needed him changed all that.

I LOVE the fact that it is ultimately Jacob Carter who is so instrumental in finally getting them together. More than anyone, as both Sam's father and a major general himself, he is uniquely qualified to assess whether the rules are, at that point, better off ignored. On the DVD, that chapter is titled "Rules that Punish" (which also refers to what's going on with Daniel in a wonderful bit of parallelism) and I think, at that point, both Sam and Jack realize the original intentions of the rules no longer apply and they both resolve to do whatever it takes to be together.
