All in all though, Rachel I agree with most all of your points (and well stated they are!). I think, because THREADS/MOEBIUS were meant to be "send-off" episodes for SG-1 originally, they [tptb] opened a can of worms when the series came back. True to previous form, the powers that be chose not to deal with the issue at all, rather than to make a concrete decision. That way, they could always play their trump card later on (perhaps as a ratings coup, or another send-of (etc)), should they need to. I really think they've been holding onto it in their proverbial hand because they're worried if they do something with it one way or the other they'll be wasting an ace (to overuse a poor cliche).

It rather bites for us (the viewers/the fans), but it probably isn't a theme we'll see much mention of during season ten

In fact I like it so much I may use it as part of the Aftershock for Ripple Effect when I get there! If canon doesn't screw it all up for us in the meantime!

I agree with you...I think its incredibly hard to predict what TPTB are going to do given some of the decisions since S9. They may surprise us all and...

Yep, me too. I'm a big JM fan. He's a real tease sometimes, other times cracks me up with lame excuses (especially for low ratings

), but overall, he makes fab sounding ice cream! So even though he's a ptb, I still love him

I'm not fussed about not seeing them 'get together' - my imagination can come up with that - I would prefer to see that Threads/Moebius had real consequences for their relationship - ie that they got together.

Another excellent analytical post by you. BTW, in your list of shippy moments, IIRC, the look between Sam and Jack near the beginning of Gemini was not in there. The one where Jack leans over from Sam's side and she suddenly looks at him and their eyes lock. Like I said, IIRC.

If anyone does find a moment not in the 'shippy moment' list (current version is on the Fourth Annual S/J Ship Day Thread) make sure I get it and I'll add it in.
