Well, it is encouraging that they are recognising that there IS a sam/jack and it's not all in our eyes. Hopefully the ratings will be high enough to show them shippers have some clout. They may even be enlightened enough to do something about it in S10 .

But I do agree that is is encouraging that they are having a S/J theme. But it is Sci-fi that is doing it, not TPTB.

But doesn't Sci-fi have some influence on the making of it ? I thought it was their pressure that made Vala a regular on the show ?

yes darling it is hope. and it is still interesting that scifi would choose this theme-i mean after all of this hemming and hawing around-they are actually coming out and saying-yes-we had a theme all these years.

however, still color me skeptical about 10 though

i just looked at the line up for the Stargate sam/jack theme evening on the sci-fi channel website. turning emerald with jealousy... 'Solitudes', 'There But for the Grace of God', 'Divide & Conquer' & 'Grace', all one after the other!!!!! OOOOHHHHH i wish i lived in america!!!! i'll be even more jealous if they have any extras in bewteen the episodes!

TPTB can rectify this jealousy that i'm sure other shippers who don't live in America (or who don't get the same Sci-fi channel) are feeling by giving us our long awaited shippy ending!!!!!!!

They could actually do several Mondays with Sam and Jack theme.

Has anyone else bought any of the Season 9 DVD's?

I am just curious because in the past I jumped to buy the DVD's as they come out. Considering the fact that I live in South Africa and I need to buy from Brittian that is quite something.

But for some reason (maybe due to lack of ship) I just couldn't be bothered with this season's DVD's.

I've got the first volume of season 9 (4 episodes). I got it largely because my husband isn't a shipper and he wanted to continue watching the series (which is only fair since he's paying for the DVDs). Was there anything in particular that you wanted to know?

I shall watch the commentaries/extras again and get back to you. I didn't notice anything obvious about the ship, but I'll have to check out the attitude to Mitchell and Vala again.
