PWP are pointless unless they are funny. I prefer a really good plot rather than smut or flowery, unrealistic romances.

Actually I write and read both flowery unrealistic romances and good plot stories. Every now and then pointless fluff is a good thing.

I personally don't think PWP is necessary. I have never read over R but..well I guess my thinking is the show is not Adult so why should the fics be? Besides, like one of my reviewers wrote concerning my first love scene, when you read a big elaborate love scene where Sam and Jack do things you know they wold never do, it kinda throws one off the fic a bit. At least it does me.

Yeah.... I see your point. We were there in April, she's Puerto Rican and I'm of enough Cherokee Indian descent that I don't look English. Also, my tan is way better in the winter because it's too danged hot to be outside in the summer. We had an airport change as well as a flight change - dumb thing to do, we didn't know better - and got the runaround as far as customs, immigration and where to go. I love England, as well, and look forward to going back.

Thanks for the info. No matter what else occurs, plot is paramount. Without plot you got squat. Same goes for movies. If adult themes and nudity further the plot, I'm all for it. Seems to me that the frontal scene in CotG didn't fall into that category if no one noticed it missing.

Very true. And I remember reading somewhere one of the writers or producers thought it was unnecessary.

That reminds me an actor once said he sees no reason for a nude scene unless the movie is called Before There Were Clothes.

There doesn't appear to be any news about RDA's appearance in any upcoming S10 episodes. Seeing as principle photography has begun and stories have been fleshed out, this can only foretell bad news. I still believe this situation is the result of the "incident" in Ripple Effect. I also think its sad that many viewers are not watching the current run of shows out of fear that they may encounter some further sexual transgression from Sam and some other that will not only ruin their day, but their enjoyment of the previous 8 seasons. It doesn't take much to nullify their perception of what they understood to be reality and ultimately alter their previous enjoyment of Sam and Jack's blossoming love.

You could be right, Jack. Guess this is when I go into my own little world and pretend he's there. I don't really see how RE would affect his showing or not. Shippers would take to the streets in celebration and non-shippers don't give a hoot about Sam's "activities" and would just enjoy the story. I'm still holding out for jubilation. Takes more than a monsoon to rain on my parade.

Zoser I totaly agree with you. I prefer angsty stories that eventualy end well. Several of my favorite stories have a general and a more adult version, leaving it to you to decide wether you want to know what happens after they kiss .

Actually Ripple Effect and anything contained therein would have zero effect on whether RDA puts in an appearance in season 10. That will rest on RDA's interest, his availablility, the offer being made and all sorts of other nitty gritty stuff.

Also, they will keep it a secret as long as possible ala Teryl & JR. It's bad business in tv to have the audience aware of everything that's going to happen before it happens, there needs to be some secrecy surrounding these things.

For people who aren't watching because they're afraid Sam will be "shipped off" with someone else. It won't happen so relax. Sam isn't actually in focus enough as far as I can see for anything remotely like that to happen. It would serve no purpose, and despite what many seem to beleive, the producers are not out to get you.

The other part of it is, with the various leaked rumours of a second movie, it would make sense that they'll hang on to a Sam & Jack resolve for that. Bigger is better and in SG ship terms Sam & Jack is the canon ship. A resolve is far more attractive in a movie that in the series. So I would say shippers don't fret. The ship hasn't sailed yet, it's just stuck in traffic.
