With the anonymity of the Internet, it's easy to forget how young some of the people surfing it are. Anyway, sorry for dragging this on even more...!
And yet, someone that "young" probably shouldnt be watching the show anyway...

Not that it matters, as the whole thing just proves something I've been thinking anyway. Ya'll have fun!

EDIT: And to clarify, this isn't about any one thing.. so don't feel bad Seahen, or anyone *hugs* I'll still be around a bit, but I didn't want to just leave without saying goodbye like I did the last time I needed time.. ya know?

Why do I suddenly feel like scum?

Edit: Bye Jenn! We'll miss you.

Just back from watching Torment of Tantalus, noticed that Jack's hand was on Sam back when she was nearly killed by falling rocks, also (and this one isnt shippy) Ernest says "a United Nations of the stars* well, the United Nations wernt invented till after WWII and after he went through, I just love picking up goofs.
I also for the first time noticed that Becket is also young Ernest, freaky... (Carson is my favorite guy on Atlantis)

That's because there was hardly anything there, but someone took offense and asked a Mod to come peruse. . .

Ohh, interesting, I didn't pick up on the UN thing. Did notice Jack's hand on Sam's back, though

Shippy Episode Piccaps: The Enemy Within Part 2

Jack's humor never fails to put a smile on Sam's face

Now, kiddies, look at the distance between Sam and Jack's chairs.

I guess they both have magnets stuck in their pockets

Can I just make a stupid remark? Teal'c's on the outside; that I understand because he is a warrior but wouldn't it be a better military strategy to put Daniel between Sam and Jack? It just popped into mind. Don't ask.

Sam and Jack are always standing next to each other in groupshots.

A very goodnight to you all!

Solo! Rabbit with a pancake on his head??? I got to remember that one

(((Seahen))) ps LOVE the armwrestling convo!!!

yep, very weird, also weirder to me is that Paul McGillion (sp?) doesn't have the Scottish accent while playing Ernest, though he is actually speaking in his normal voice because though he is Scottish by birth he does not have the accent...

Edit: hurray! I get to stay up another hour shipping here because of my diligent work today around the house
Edit2: it is supposed to go down below freezing tomorrow I hope my mango tree doesn't die,

                      *sigh*

You know my feelings about gutter. I usually dive deeper into the angst cavern when you all get splashing about. But really. This was no worse than it's been in the past by any stretch of the imagination.

And maybe if moms have to keep a look out over their kids shoulders, then perhaps the age of the forum participation should be raised. I understand these things. My kid is 11 and I monitor pretty closely what she sees and doesn't. A forum where they discuss the adult nature of a relationship..and let's be honest, the whole "ship" thing isn't all hearts and flowers, it's about complex adult relationships and the incumbant baggage that goes with them...may not be suited for younger kids. Of course we want to be welcoming, but really. Are we not going to talk about "that scene" in Chimera now? Or babies (not that I like talking about that...but hey...you know..they really don't appear under cabbage leaves)? Or Kerry? Or Pete? Or the deeper emotional issues that S/J face because the topics are too mature for some of the younger members?

It's a Ship thread. "S" "E" "X" is going to be part of it, whether we pretend it isn't or not. Otherwise, we all might just as well be watching the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, for all the mature themes that can be discussed.

I wrote this on my mobile phone waiting for the bus early this morning in the snow It's a One Hundred Days kinda poem. (Sam's POV)

                        Bring him home
Running through a field of everfrozen flowers
I am but dazed, lost and utterly broken
Bright sunligt grazes my haunted and tired face

The soft wind brushing my tears away
Frightened but always strong; determined to find him

No one can catch me as I fall
Please, come home to our field of everfrozen flowers
I'll be here, I'll be waiting, I'll bring you back
                        To me

                        goodnight

ahem, I am not saying this thread is bad because there is mention of S*E*X , my mothers statement was a joke she made in passing , also I try to ignore CIA girl and and their relations to Jack and Sam respectively because they are an endangerment to my shippy mojo , and I dont watch Zack and Cody Stargate was the only show I watched......

                            Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter...

UGCgirl: hmmm..... well i don't know because i don't know if they are the right people for each other

Sorry I haven't been around much. The drama cast has been working our mik'tas off all week. Our One Act play won first place at Sub-Sections on Saturday, which means we've moved onto Sections. Hopefully we'll win there, and be able to go to state. Hear's hoping!

                              *crosses fingers, Jonas-Style!*

Just a short note to let you know that my father, George B. "Chip" Robinson, Jr., passed away early this morning. Thanks to everyone for the notes and good thoughts over the past few months, it is a relief to know he's in a much better place and no longer in pain.

Yep, Young Ernest was indeed played by Paul McGillion, although I hardly recognized him without the Scottish accent!

I totally agree. If I remember correctly, at least in the US, SG1 was a TV-14 rating, meaning nobody under 14 should be watching. That being the case, perhaps along with the new mission statement, Darren should raise the age at which a person is allowed to join here to 14.

Personally, I'd rather have my 13-year-old reading about a good, healthy, mature relationship between a man and a woman and all it entails (within reason) than elsewhere on the internet looking for porn (which you *know* they can find) or teen movies where the goal of the people is sex and that's all.
                                - Mary
SG1 needs it's Fifth Man - Why should we settle for less? Bring back Jonas Quinn!
Jack O'Neill would die for any member of his team. But there's only one he'd live for: Samantha Carter.
