Daniel Jackson/Vala Mal Doran Ship/Discussion/Appreciation Thread
"Just a simple trip to see how people were gettin' along," Cam was saying, as he glared outside at the storm causing his bad mood, "Just a quick stop, before movin' on to K'Tau... If anyone ever says those words before a mission again, I'll shoot 'em. "
"Was it not you that said the words this time, ColonelMitchell?" Teal'c asked, earning snickers from the rest of the team. It had indeed been Cam that said this would be a quick trip.
"Fine, then the shootin' rule includes me, too," Cam muttered.
They had been stuck on this planet, designated P46-696, for a day more than what had originally been intended, due to flooding, brought on by the sudden, and violent storm, that had yet to stop. The SGC was informed of their situation, and knew not to worry. SG-1 had taken refuge in an abandoned building, on the outskirts of the small town, several miles from the 'gate. The town was one they had visited only a week before. On their last visit, they had been responsible for reclaiming the alleigance of the inhabitants, after they had killed a weakened prior. They had come back, to make sure that no other priors had turned up, and found a way past the anti-prior devices now surrounding the 'gate. Also to make sure that the people were still getting along. Then the storm had started, and they hadn't been able to make it to the 'gate in time to beat the worst of it. It hadn't stopped raining since.
Vala, who should have been the most annoyed of them all, considering her hatred for being stuck anywhere for very long, was actually the quietest, and seemingly the most at ease with being stuck. It had caused Daniel to wonder just what was in that book of hers, since that's what she was doing; reading. She was curled up near the fire they had started, her nose buried in her book. Cam said it was invasion of the body snatchers, Sam said Vala had spent too much time with Daniel, and Teal'c just gave them all a knowing smirk.
But Vala's preoccupation with her reading material was actually the least of Daniel's worries. When they got back to the SGC, Cam was likely going to feel the need to play some sort of prank on someone, just to make himself feel better, and considering the way Daniel had woken up several days before, he could guess what Cam might use to amuse himself. He hadn't stopped his pestering since the morning Daniel had woken to find himself in Vala's arms, using her shoulder as a pillow. Needless to say he had not fallen asleep in his office since.
Though the latter was more because he hadn't been particularly disgusted at waking up like that, and didn't want to admit it.
Post and run...off to bed.
What a lovely way to end the evening, thanks.
