I might have to go and watch that episode, now that I've read Isabel's AMAZING chapter 5 to "Chains of Freedom." If you haven't checked it out, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's probably my favorite multi-chapter fic

Okay, so I couldn't find "Chimera" so I decided to see if "Citizen Joe" is as bad as people claim. I was about half-way through when they mentioned the Furlings. One guy even says "Furlings, they sound cute...like Ewoks" Clearly, they had the Ewok image in their heads for quite some time!


I'm sorry, I find the Koala bears pretty hilarious!!

I didn't think that "Citizen Joe" was horrible, to me it was just a waste of an ep because it was a clip show. Chimera is from Season 7 if that helps in finding it.

As for the Furlings, I think that part of 200 was hilarous. Even their village looked like an Ewok village I love the sense of humor that the writers have

Okay, there is a part of "Citizen Joe" that is pretty hilarious. When he's getting the rejection letters:

Friend #1: "See, I’m not sure you should have sent in this one about Seth. It wasn’t one of your best."
Friend #2 (looking at the second letter): "They rejected “Hathor”?! Oh, but it was gold!"

Yeah..."Hathor" was....something....

Well, I haven't see all of these episodes....so it's a little catch-me-up.

EDIT: The place I go to to watch episodes doesn't have any of season 7, that's why I can't watch "Chimera" Great banner, by the way!

Okay, I don't want to make this a thread about CJ, but I love inside jokes (it's part of what made "200" so funny). Joe just said "Between you and me, I totally see the analogy: Burns as Goa'uld." (the actor playing Joe does voices on 'The Simpsons' ). This isn't a great episode (and it is clips-heavy) but it's not nearly as bad as people claim....of course, some of these people think TTTB and "Bad Guys" are Stargate's worst episodes, so....

EDIT: AH!! They mentioned poor, poor Jonas!!

EDIT EDIT: Regarding Teal'c: "I know the hair is different, but didn't you used to be more gold-colored?" FINALLY, someone mentions that! It's been bugging me forever...he just stopped being gold!

sadly Gioia I wasn't actually intending on doing any vignettes specifically about this topic...I was merely creating their reality in case a opportunity to throw in a teasing reference to their 'sparring session' ever arose.
I can do the sex part, but describing the actual 'sparring session' I would be hopeless at because I know nothing about the activity...now Kales included a terrific scene in one of her fics that had Vala remembering stuff her father taught her about sparring...so at one point I considered asking Kales if she could supply me with a couple of paragraphs that I could springboard a scene off of, BUT given how busy her RL is now I don't want to bother her...and given how many vignettes I've now got underway and not completed I probably shouldn't start another one until I finish one.

I love Chimera but not for the reasons others do. (Arm porn does nothing for me. He almost looks too muscled for my taste in thos pictures.) I love the episode for the reveal of what Daniel's relationship with Dr. Sarah Gardner (Yes this Sarah has an H where as the ex Mrs. O'Neill doesn't. This bugs me because my real first name is Sarah so I get twitchy about how people spell the name.)was like. I was happy that they managed to save her. It sets up a pattern though so that when Vala comes along she is the third woman Daniel's been romantically linked to that has been a host. Daniel is a Goa'uld magnet.

While there is arm porn galore in Chimera let's not forget the checkered shirt parade:

I love Chimera for all those reasons...the arm porn, the storyline...the Sarah being the 2nd of three hosts thing...I find the pattern here fascinating...
bear with me a moment:
We get Daniel trying to help three women at 3 different stages of being a host reclaim their original lives:
Sha're: right at the beginning of her 'host' experience and he tragically never gets to help her get rid of the symbiote so therefore never succeeds in giving her back a normal life.
Sarah: at the beginning of her 'host' experience also yes, but then he succeeds in helping her get rid of the symbiote, sadly though once again is not successful in helping her reclaim a normal life because..well we're not sure because we never see her again...I'm going with that she simply couldn't take remaining in the environment of the SGC and leaves(I give my own spin on this in the 'lifetime' series)
Vala:he meets her after the symbiote is gone but she has been unable to reclaim even a 'semi-normal' life and is living a lifestyle just to survive...she almost brings him a sense of 'self-atonement' for being able to give her the chance to live a normal life that he failed to do with the other two.

Now what else did I want say here? Oh yeah...really funny stuff at the 'livejournal', thanks for the link Maeve

And I don't know I must be weird but I like the check shirts...gotta admit I like pretty much anything put on that body(or taken off) altho a little less of the baggy BDUs and more of the jeans and t-shirts would be good. And ANYTIME I can see a guy WITH a button shirt properly tucked in is good...shirttails hanging out just looks sloppy and careless. And you know I even like that coverall/flightsuit thingy he was wearing while strapped in the chair in 'Shroud'...it just outlines his shape so well...look at the picture closely...lovely wide shoulders tapering to the slim waist...honestly that's all I see when I look at that picture now.

I have to agree with you LC about "The Shroud". That is all I see when I look at the pics too(the episode I actually pay attention too...LOL). You are right, that man can wear anything and make it look good, or not wear anything and look good I am a big fan of the checkered shirts too. He looks so great in the Season 3 episode "Foothold" in that checkered shirt that is slightly unbuttoned.....*THUD*

Wow, Daniel certainly has had some wardrobe changes. I like to think that the recent upgrade in his style was due partially to wanting to look good for Vala
