Finally decided to take a day off work after fighting with Laryngitis, Pharyngitis and Bronchitis all week...only to have to go back to the docs today because I have Conjunctivitis!!! All those ..itisses!

Gioa, love the new fics.
Particularly love the first one. Got me thinking.
We were talking a while back about how we would like DV to get together...well what I would like so see (similar to this fic) is Vala being the one to make the first move. NOT going for the belt buckle but opening herself up to Daniel and being totally honest with her feelings.
Question/s for the board.
Who do you think will be the first to admit their feelings to the other?
Who would be the first to say "I love you"?

The first one is a toss up for me. I can see situations where they both admit their feelings first, especially with the movies coming up and the Quetesh thing, but I think it'll be Daniel who does that first after a lot of prodding from Jack and Sam and MitchellOriginally posted by djay View Post

I think Vala would wait until Daniel said something to admit to feelings deeper than lust. Let's face it she has fully admitted to feeling that while he hasn't. (He admitted to lust for the distroyer of worlds but other than saying yes she is atractive hasn't even admitted to that much to Vala.)
I think once Vala was assured of him feeling serious feelings she might say I love you first to show that it was genuine.
BTW 10 more votes will put Unending in 3rd in the Episode Ship Picture Game. The Sam/Jack shipers only need 3 for Beneath the Surface. I'd love for us to get2 out of the top 3.sigpic

Ooh, good questions. I think the answer to the first one would be Daniel. Yes, we know that Daniel holds back on a lot of his feelings (Unending, anyone?), but I think he is capable of expressing his feelings in words better than Vala. I think she's shown him how much she cares through her actions, but I find it hard to believe that she would initiate a discussion about what she feels. Even when talking about Adria in "Dominion," she couldn't bring herself to say anything deeply personal about the situation.Originally posted by djay View Post
In regards to the second, I think that that one is more of a toss-up. I think if Vala got more secure in her relationship with Daniel, she might say it first...but I still feel like Daniel would be the more likely candidate to vocalize it. He's always been more contemplative about things....even if he sometimes blinds himself to what he's feeling.
Okay, so my friend was mightily impressed by both PU and BG tonight. Her favorite Teal'c line delivery has now become "Die Hard." There was a funny moment during the fight scene in PU when she asked me if I thought they'd ever make a Stargate porn (with the actual actors). She was like, "they'd make so much money!" You'd have the people who would want to watch Vala and Daniel have sex, have sex...and you'd get the people who want to watch ANYONE have sex, have sex. Win-win. I told her that I'm pretty sure porn isn't exactly an upward step from SG-1
but I was open to the possibility of an R-rated SG-1 film starring Daniel & Vala. Looks like she thought the fight scene was as hot as we do 
I had a random thought as I was watching "Counterstrike" the other day. What if Adria had captured Vala and Daniel and kept them aboard her ship for months? What would that have been like? Adria trying to convert her mother while also trying to turn Daniel into a prior. Then I got to thinking, what if Daniel had legitimately been converted to Origin and made a prior, then Adria captures Vala and has Daniel try to convert her. Those would be some interesting conversations. Vala's trying to convert prior-Daniel back to regular-Daniel and Daniel would be trying to convert Vala to Origin...and Adria would just sit and enjoy, stepping in every once in a while to help prior-Daniel out. If I didn't already have my hands full on this baby!fic, I'd think about writing it myself. Anyone want to take the idea and run with it for me?!?!
Time to fight through my writers block and finish this DV conversation I've been struggling with for weeks

The I love you thing, I have a theory on that one. I think it would take Daniel a very long time to verbalize it. I think he will feel the I love you for a long time before he says it. He is so calculating in what he says and over thinks everything. I could see it taking him so long to say it that Vala actually comes out and says something like, "Will you just tell me you love me already and be done with it!"sigpic

I think that vala has tried to show daniel how she feels, but she is too scared to get rejected, so she just gets flippant. So it will be Daniel (in an unending-like scene) who will say how much he cares, but accuse her of playing with him. Only then will she tell him.
