Thanks gioia!!! I am feeling so much better today too!! I got solid sleep last night, and woke up for the first time in 3 weeks without a stomach ache..WOOHOO!!!! I think that I am back to my regular self today

Thanks guys I am still at a loss for why that that vid in particular was kicked off. It only said that a third party claimed copyright infringement. But if it was the clips, why not kick out all of my other vids (some that are more popular)? If it was the song, why not get rid of other shows that use the same one (and are more popular)? It's just really strange.

As for MGM, they're not the problem. They seem to like encouraging their fans to keep caring about their show. I mean, they opened up that media site, and they were the ones that made the deal with Gateworld to share those exclusive episode pics. The problem is that NBC owns SciFi channel...and NBC is full of *bleep* They are always on a witch hunt. They were the ones that shut down those picture sites, and they are the ones that are constantly scouring YT for any clips of their TV shows to remove (try looking up SNL bits and you'll see what I mean ). I really do hate them now

I'll probably just repost the vid and see what happens..if not, I'll just try another place. I still have a site from which you can download it...I just like people to be able to just search and easily find it if they want.

I'll get around to your vid later today, Maeve. Right now, I need to take a shower, eat, and get to class!

I've seen a lot of shows that sacrifice story/ coherence for character development. You know what? I don't applaud(e?) these shows. There shoudl be character moments on screen, damn right. And as a person who likes to see the friendships on screen, I want them there. The episode is never complete without them.
But neither it is complete without story. One that makes sense, too. And yes, if you have a 60-odd worth of television and only 42 minutes of those are going to make it on screen, something's gotta give. The best solution? Teach RCC (especially, but not jsut him. Mainly him.) to write a fourty three minutes worth of an episode, not 60 (sorry I'm specifically targeting RCC here, but as much as I love this man's work, all the evidence I've seen so far sugest he writes his episodes way way way too long, a lot more than the rest of the writers). That's how you can get all the interactions. Failign that, they coudl have turned Stargate into a fully serialised show. As much as I love those, thank god they didn't, Heroes has already caused havoc for my semester, I'm Stargate addicted as it is, I don't need more fuel on that.
Failing these two options, something's gotta give. And it's either plot or character.

TPTB tried to tell some sort of an excuse for a story about the Daniel and Vala relationship. Since it is definitely a storyline, it earned moments that otherwise would have been cut off due to time considerations - much like Jack/ Sam for quite a number of years. I don't know how much people here know/ remember, but Jack/Sam has earned, from the people who aren;t shippers, the exact same kind of cirticism at the time - that it's taking away from all the other relationships/ Because it was a storyline, adn storylines are naturaally getting in when all the other character-driven moments are thrown out of the window because, what can you do, you still have to cut out those 17 minutes.
I've had a point somewhere in thism but I've forgotten it. Again.

This is a wonderful thing to wake up to Thanks Ronja!!! I could never get sick of D&V Videos. Sorry Stef I do think it is NBC/Unversial too they are on a witch hunt. I do believe they are short sighted when it comes to Youtube they don't see the whole picture. I must go to class too I will chat later.

Posting whole episodes illegally: Bad
Posting fan-vids supporting you're show: Good
See the difference?

Being kinda new to the whole internet fandom of stargate (ive been a lurker for on and off for yrs but now with its unending and all I've become fully obsessed 100% of the time...especially with dala) that was my first Dala Video. I throughly enjoyed it (and even got happy teary LOL :blush and am now wishing I didn't need sleep so I could watch many many more right now.

They're taking our vids! That is funny because I have a ton of CD's that I bought because I fell in love with a song I saw with a vid. Enya was one by the way. Vids have helped certain bands/singers make money off me. They wouldn't have if it weren't for a vid. Funny.

Ditto! There's loads of bands I so would not have found if it hadn't been for YT and bought. Do they not think of this? I mean, is it warner bros who have a whole CHANNEL on YT where they post artist vids? And they aren't the only ones.
