So, is anything with lyrics out?

For example, this one from Ratatouille.

But this one would be OK?

Exactly no lyrics... just music But humming isn't really lyrics.

And also animated movies are not okay but stop motioned movies are okay

            example:

            A corpse bride is okay

Lilo & Stich isn't okay because it is drawn

I'm hoping to do a lot of seconding, so gonna stop myself here for now, but believe me I have tons more favourites! I could easily nominate 20 more right on the spot!

Sheesh I never remember any composers names I guess I'll have to go through some of my fave movies and do a bit of research. BTW I love all the nominations so far.

Blimey! Did you make that banner yourself?!

What about stuff that was used in 20th century films, but reused again since 2000, eg. a few pieces from Star Wars...?

Welcome RoX and if you don't know the composers name, go to one of the sites provided by Ronja, and I am sure you'll find it.

if you go to amazon, you can find most of the time the cd of the movie and the composer and all the songs are included into the info, sometimes you can listen to 30 seconds of it too

                            I did

Yes... the theme from Superman I nominated is exactly the same as the original. Just reused in the new film. So yes say Star Wars main theme is ok. As long as it's on the soundtrack from the "new" movies, from 2000 and on, go for it!

Take Darth Vaders theme for example, it's only played briefly in Ep II and III, but if u want to nominate it you have to go with either of those versions, not the original.

                            Make sense?

Can you nominate more than one song from each movie?

Gollum's Song - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Into the West - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Up is Down - Pirates of the Carribean

                              (LOVE the banner!! )
