Sam Carter /Jack O'Neill Ship Appreciation Thread 2.0
Wow! Seriously??? I never watched SGU... which episode is that?? I need to see the video on youtube.....
I've looked, but I haven't found it on YouTube.
sigpic The Return of King Arthur Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all of ways
acknowledge him, and he'll make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20): Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.
On FFnet or AO3
My S/J fics can be found on FFnet and AO3. I also tweet and tumble about the ship and my writing/stories.
Mostly because I think that alternate Sam is whiny, and bothers me. Not that it has anything to do with the Ship--it's just that I don't like the episode. But the comfort at the end of Death Knell and Jack's utter determination to find her is so profound, that it's got to be Death Knell over PoV anyway.
Thanks, Hedwig! Aww, calling her Sam in public.... now I need to watch the entire season of SGU
Just so you know, there's very little other scenes throughout that have Sam in them (maybe one or two in the early part of the season). The rest of the season has Jack on occasion (maybe 4-5 times), one episode in which he trades bodies with somebody from Destiny and goes to visit Destiny himself; I think it's the one where Lou Diamond Phillips' character is being held prisoner and it is being decided what to do with him.
Still no decision in the vote for yesterday? hmmm... hln must be busy...
Thanks for the encouragement. Sorry I couldn't get online yesterday. I drove up to Pittsburgh for a dance weekend and it's been CRAZY! I won't tell about all the trouble we got up to last night.
I'm back at my friends place now and she's napping while I put up my feet, check my messages and just get caught up.
So the Best Shippy Episode. I have to go with Death Knell. I enjoy POV, but DK is full bodied ship, whereas POV is still developing.

2 more episodes of Atlantis and then I start SGU season 1 for the first time. I have to say, after reading stuff on here, I'm a little apprehensive...
The Best Shippy Episode is . . .
Beneath the Surface (4)
vs.
Desperate Measures (0)
I like Desperate Measures, but from a shippy point of view Beneath the Surface wins!
The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it
