I don't think there would be a proposal. I think they'd just start talking about whether or not to have a wedding and, if so, elaborate or simple, and where, if anywhere, to go for a honeymoon. All in an everyday sort of way, like making out the grocery list.

Ok... I totally think this is pretty much how it would happen, only cause there is sooo much history already that seems like an unnecessary step for them. I think that once they were together, things would be so comfortable that it would just so of fall into place.

I've done this one before, answering a proposal question I posted on here a little while back...here's mine.

Sam: I'll miss our fishing trips.
Jack: You know we won't be that far away.
Sam: Jack...Nevada and DC aren't exactly close...
Jack: 2,430 miles, give or take. I Googled it.
Sam: *smiles* You know...I've been thinking...
Jack: I seriously doubt you stop.
Sam: Jack...I'm trying to be serious here.
Jack: So am I, I said 'seriously', however, go ahead.
Sam: Maybe the fishing trips don't have to end.
Jack: What do you mean?
Sam: I mean...what do you think about you and me fishing...forever?

I personally have always seen them as going for the elopement - that Sam doesn't want the engagement period again (two broken engagements might just make one a little out of sorts). They decide they want to get married in a very serious conversational way and Sam basically says "Let's just go, let's just do it".

Just my take and I'm sure one day I'll get around to actually writing it.

At the cabin. And Daniel, Teal'c and Cassie were there. But only them. And at the cabin. Definitely.

i have this image, vision, of them going to lake tahoe (nevada), in the winter, and marrying, with a breathtaking background of snow covered mountains and the lake... *sighs*
