I'm sorry but Sam's hair is blond. She really is not the kind of person to dye her hair IMO. I can see an off-world accident causing some discoloration, but she would want to get it back to her natural color as quickly as possible. Sam is a natural kind of gal.

amanda dyed her hair so that helen was as different from sam as possible. it worked.

sam is blonde, helen is brunette, amanda is whatever the heck she wants to be.

~i'd still take the wig over brunette sam any day.

oh, for sure! amanda's face is just SO beautiful, that she can handle any hair color or style and still look great!

when i first saw *amanda* with dark hair, it threw me for a loop!

she didn't look like amanda anymore... i kind of grieved.

but i also adapted, but it took a bit.

(i fell for amanda when she was a blonde. i still miss it...)

It wasn't just the dark hair that threw me for a loop! I'd gotten used to her "Sam" voice!

i LOVE helen's english accent! i think b/c i love that accent (and amanda did a really good job with it), i didn't have a prob with it (like i did with her hair ).

it just takes time to adjust i guess.

(i'd have probs with helen being blonde, just b/c i'm used to her being brunette. but i *could* take a red haired helen... )

i know some ppl had issues with amanda's helen accent, but i thought she did a good job. good at first, great as it went on.

i think amanda thought of helen with brunette hair being tougher than the softer helen with blonde. i'm paraphrasing what amanda's said.

I agree. I think I kept trying to find Sam in there somewhere. AT really acted the part well because there were very few times that I 'saw' Sam in the Helen character. The ep with the bank robbery being the main one.

But every time there was a great action scene I enjoyed where Helen kicked butt I would think...

i was sadden that other sg-1 actors like Chris Judge and Richard Dean Anderson or Teryl Rothery didn't make an appearance. it would've been interesting to see Helen and Rick's character interact.

I love baseball and I really like the concept of completely AU story with Jack as a cocky shortstop. But...

I really do not like Sam in your story. I will continue reading and hope her attitude improves, as I am sure it will. But it's just painful right now

There's a song on Trace Adkins' current album that I think would be a perfect Sam/Jack song! It's called "Watch the World End", and it's fabulous.
