Actually I could see Jack getting the new smartphone. My dad held onto his phone for ages and ages until my mother accidentally ran over it with the car. Then he took her pink RAZR (my dad looks like a military guy, you aren't going to question his masculinity holding a dainty pink phone). Then finally he went all out with the iPhone.

Of course, my dad's a techie too and Jack doesn't generally get depicted as tech geek of the world.

I think I've got something to cheer you up. On Sci fi there is a programme about government files including a possibilty of a stargate.... I'm sad about SGU though

I'm pretty heartbroken about SGU, too. I really enjoyed it, and no new Stargate at all makes me sad.
