sweet. Decided to officially blow off doctoral work for tonight, turned on the tv and find a Wisconsin/Minnesota hockey game on! Awesome.

After the last movie, I'm incredibly surprised! Are they going to fill in the big obvious plot holes that didn't explain what happened between series end and that film?! And they can't use the excuse that it being released in the summer is the reason it didn't do well. Fight The Future was released in the summer and it still holds up now, over 10 years later. Although I am really getting sucked back into the show again (reruns are great for that despite my dvd collection), I'd much rather have my S/J confirmation in movie #3. After all M/S shippers got theirs! (This is coming from a old hardcore X Phile...)

Actually that brings me nicely to a random question that popped into my head the other day. What are Stargate fans called? Gaters?

Ok, I have to say I'll probably go watch it because I did like the 2nd movie and I hope this one fills in the blanks between that movie and the end of the series

Regarding SG Movie 3. Amanda Tapping just got done finishing wrapping up production on season 3. So if MGM gets this thing resolved quickly and gives the go ahead they could start production on it by sometime next year.
